Because of the pandemic me and James are now more at home meaning we spend more time with our daughter Ava. But today the both of us were having meetings for works. James was in a meeting for a new movie he was in and I was in a meeting with a designer that I was going to be modeling for.
Our daughter was getting kind of bored of playing alone and wanted both of our attention.
She was running around from both of our offices.
"Mommy!" She whined as she laid in the floor of my office. "Mommy is busy right now, we can play later." I said for the millionth time this morning.
She got up and ran to James's office and did the same thing until she stopped coming to our offices annoying us, she probably found something to entertain herself.
We were relieved that she wasn't annoying anymore but was until we heard a pound noise coming from the bathroom. It was kind of worried so I though it was just something that fell outside at first but then I started hearing Ava crying.
"Guys my daughter got hurt I will be right back." I said to them on the computer and then got up and ran to the bathroom. "Mommy!" I heard my daughter scream and sob as I opened the door. "I'm here." I said as I knelt down and hugged my daughter.
She had hit her head on the bathroom sink.
"Hey is everything alright darling I heard crying?" James asked walking in. "We'll kind of." I said. "What happened to my little princess?" James asked as he knelt down next to me. "I was.." I daughter sobbed. "Let's go lay down on the bed so you feel better." I said getting up and James took her to her bed.
We walked to her room and we laid her down on her bed.
"Want to tell mommy and daddy what happened?" James asked as he sat down on the bed next to Ava. "I wanted to open the..the.." She said as she was trying to remember the word. "The cabinet?" I asked. "Yes, and when I I was closing it I hurt." She said. "I'm sorry." She added. "Oh don't be sorry it's not your fault you got hurt, you didn't know you would get hurt." I said. "Well I'm getting an ice pack and you will keep it on your head and stay here while mommy and daddy work okay?" James asked getting. "Okay." She said.
He got the pack and then when I was going back to my office James grabbed my hand and turned me around, he pressed his lips on mine as he slowly ran his fingers through the small of my back.
"What was that for?" I asked. "Just felt like it." He smiled before he let go of me and went back to his office and went back to mine.
