When Y/n woke up that morning she immediately went into the common room, to see that she was the first one to wake up. She looked at the Christmas tree with loads of gifts beneath it and giggled before going to wake up all of the Hufflepuff prefects.
She didn't want to open them alone, because that would just make her feel selfish and Y/n would love to see the reactions of the fellow students.
"Hannah!" She yelled at the girl from the door way to her dorm. The girl in question ruffled though her messy blond hair with a yawn, before rubbing her eyes a little.
"What is it Y/n?" She asked while looking at her, as she was sitting up and stretching.
"It's Christmas!" The girl just answered and that immediately made Hannah stand up with a bright smile.
"Really?! Then let's wake up the others!" She excitedly stood up and revealed a really nice silk nightgown in the color green. "You go wake the boys, I will call the other girls!"
"Can I scare them?" Y/n asked excitedly.
"Absolutely! Here use this fake snake, that will get them awake real soon~" Hannah said, while giving her a fake snake made out of rubber.
"Oh wait, is it alright with you? You know with the whole biting incident?" The prefect asked a little worried, while hiding it behind her.
"You are acting like Astoria! She asked me if she should get rid of her snake in tears, because she was worried that I wouldn't want to be her friend anymore!" Y/n laughed before accepting the snake and smirking in delight.
"Well, please make them scream as loud as possible!" Hannah requested, an equally scary smirk on the prefect girl's face.
"Gotcha, boss women!" Y/n saluted before scurrying off to the boys dorms.
She made her way into the boys dorm, that lucky didn't have any kind of spell to keep the opposite gender out.
It was once like in the Gryffindor common room, so nobody could enter the dorms they didn't belong into. But Professor Sprout didn't find this fair, seeing as Hufflepuff had many Transsexual and Non binary students that could sleep wherever they felt more comfortable in.
There wasn't really something such as 'boys' or 'girls' dorms, but the Hufflepuffs still used those terms when they went to the side that had either more male or female students as residents.
Then she stood in front of the dorm room of all of the prefects, that were sharing only one room. Gabriel told Y/n that it was apparently, because they felt lonely and needed someone to cuddle. He reassured the girl that they all had socks on so it wasn't gay.
