Some girls jumped to catch the knife. Some ran and waited until the others got tired and took advantage of that. One ran for the camera in the corner of the room. Yelena.
Yelena ran away from that the minute she saw the knife leave the pocket and remembered the knife in the camera. It would take the girls a couple more seconds so she had to take advantage of time while she had it. Apparently, it didn't take long as someone had already tried to pull her leg out from under her. The run became a sprint, using her built up momentum to push herself of the floor and up the wall towards the knife handle. She reached up and yanked the knife out of the wires with all her strength, possible a mistake as it sent her into an accidental somersault backward of the wall. It was counted as that year's stroke of luck because now she had the advantage to slash her opponents neck from behind, unexpecting, with no real defence. The girls ignored Yelena, too self-centred and focused on the more obvious choice of weapon that they hadn't registered the other threats in the room. Until those towards the back of the scrap were forced out noticed her. Yelena stayed to herself, the girls would make their own moves and she would immediately shut them down with a slash across the closest limb. They weren't dead, just no longer a threat. Yelena's part of this fight is over.
The other girls had been damaged by the mini battle happening. Some saw the view of the fight that didn't need a weapon. They less imaginative snapped necks. The more creatively gifted, the ones with time on their hands, gripped the other's neck strangled the until their arms went limp, smashed their head into the floor and punched their rib cage into oblivion. As described as before, inventive.
Oksana was one of the ones who watched the girls get kicked about, pushed to the outer ring, and kicked them towards the wall with such force some of the more fragile bones shattered. Others were fractured which really meant nothing to the girls, if it was still in one piece a fracture was like a dent, irrelevant.
Mollie predictably was the second to die, being smashed under someone else's weight in their attempts to snatch the knife. She was stomped on and her face disfigured, ribs bruised with punctured lung, stomach, liver and one of her kidneys. She would have been coated in urine and blood if it wasn't for the fact that the girls were fed the minimum amounts to avoid a bigger mess when the guards had to clean up.
Bella had ushered away and pulled the blade from beneath her tongue. Madame B. had spotted this looking towards THIRTEEN knowing this was their call to make. Receiving nothing that could really serve as a response, Madam B. decided to look at what Yelena was doing.
THIRTEEN had a sudden interest in Bella, more accurately what was going on with the razor blade in her hand. So far it remained unused and that was ok. Everyone should have a fair chance at this bit, that much was important. So when the inside of a girls arm was bleeding uncontrollably when the knifes were a far distance away from her, THIRTEEN pulled her gun from its place and shot two bullets straight into both of her eyes. And that declared the end of that round.
