"Jae, please stop already. Let's just call it a day."

"We were inlove, weren't we? I saw it in your eyes, Bailey. I saw the stars in your eyes as you you gave me your 'yes'. The eyes never lie, Bailey. And it was through your eyes that I came to know that your love for me is now gone, too."

Hyunjae felt his heart break into several pieces. He didn't want to accept that. He chose to deny it as much as possible — saying that maybe she was tired, stressed, or had a bad day at work. But no, he only came to a conclusion that it's of no use to keep on denying it any further.

This hit Bailey like a truck and woke her up to the reality of what she was doing — she was cheating on the love of her life with a man she gave herself to after a few shots of alcohol.

It started 5 months ago.

When Hyunjae started to become busy with his inheritance of his family's company.

Hyunjae was never the controlling type of husband — she was allowed to go out with friends, party, and enjoy just as she used to do before they become official.

And that's exactly why she decided to go out for a few drinks at a nearby bar.

She'd be lying if she said she wasn't feeling needy. Needy of his love, his affection. Needy of her husband's touch. But she was certain that this would be a day she would give for herself, and so she decided to not wear her ring.

After a few shots, she started to feel a little dizzy, and that's where she met him. Her lover.

She was about to text Hyunjae to pick her up when he approached her at the bar counter.

"Are you here alone? Do you want me to bring you home?" He spoke, and she immediately felt more intoxicated with his sweet voice.

He was the definition of a handsome bachelor. He wasn't as sweet-looking as her husband but he was undoubtedly a fair competitor.

She doesn't know what caused her to put her lips on his but when he started to kiss her back, one mistake led to another and she knew there was no turning back from the mess she started.

Since that night, they've been seeing each other from time to time, whenever Bailey needed an escape from the madness at work and at home.
