When the light faded, something felt different. I looked around and saw we were still in the woods and not in the crater.
"AAAAAAAAGH!" Suddenly I heard a scream from beside me. I turned to where it was and there I saw Kyouka. She had fallen back against a tree and was staring at me with a face full of fear. Something else I noticed was she was smaller than she was a few seconds ago.
"Kyouka what's-" Just as I was about to ask what's wrong I realized my voice was... deeper. I felt my throat and felt something was different. It felt rough. I looked at my hands and I was shocked the watch was gone but my hands were green and had thorns growing out of my arms.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH IZUKU?!" She screamed with tears in her eyes and her jacks were swinging frantically. "GIVE HIM BACK!" She screamed as she got up. She was shaking with fear but still ran at me.
"Kyouka i-it's me." I said as one of her jacks jammed into my side. Strangely enough I waited for the pain that usually came with it but it never did, it only tickled. I looked down and her jack was where my side used to be. There was a hole in my side from her vibrating her jacks with her heartbeat which must have been going crazy. Suddenly it started to regenerate itself and the hole was patched up as if nothing happened.
"What are y-you? Where's Izuku? Where is h-" She kept asking hoping to get an answer as to where I was but the truth was I was right in front of her.
"It's me Kyouka. It's me, Izuku." I said to her in a calm and gentle voice trying to calm her down. She looked at me with disbelief.
"No... No. You're lying, you c-can't be Izuku." She said backing away slowly. Fear was still evident on her face. I then had an idea.
"It's me Kyouka. And I can prove it." I told her and she stopped and stared at me.
"H-how could you p-possibly prove to me that you are I-Izuku?" She asked with stutters.
"Your name is Kyouka Jirou. You go to Aldera Junior High. We have been best friends since the day in the park when Bakugo attacked you and I saved you." I answered.
"That means n-nothing. Anyone could have found that out." She explained. I hate to admit it but it's true. But I had one more chance to prove I was Izuku.
"When we were kids you were showing me around your dad's studio for his music. You took one of his guitars off the wall and started playing it but when you tried to put it back you dropped it and it broke. We ran out and when your dad saw it he assumed it just fell off the wall. Only you and I knew what happened that day." I explained and she looked at me in pure shock.
"Izuku? It's really you isn't it?" She asked now believing what she had been told. I looked at her and smiled.
"Yeah it is Kyouka." I responded.
"What happened to you? What are you?" She asked while wiping the tears away from her arms.
"I don't know what happened. It must have been the watch after I pushed the dial down. I'm pretty sure this is the same figure from the hologram when I pushed it down. As for what I am, I'm still me but I'm not. Does that make sense?"
"For what turned you into it, yes. For what you are, not in the slightest." She said.
"Well I don't have the watch now so I guess I'm stuck like this." I said looking at my hands.
"Wait, on your chest, isn't that the same symbol the watch had?" She pointed to my chest. I looked down and saw the same symbol on my chest. I hadn't even realized it was there until just now.
Suddenly we heard a loud boom sound and we saw what looked to be a fire back at the place we parked the campervan. "MOM/MUM, DAD!" We yelled and started running towards the campsite.
After a few minutes we arrived at the campsite and we were shocked at what we saw. There was a giant robot attacking our parents. "We gotta do something!" Kyouka shouted. "You get them out of here, I'll handle the Robot." I said with anger. This thing attacked my Mom, I wasn't gonna let it get away with that.
"What? Are you crazy?" Kyouka asked with a shocked face. "Pretty much." I answered and started running towards it. "Dammit Izuku. Just don't die. Please." Kyouka pleaded. "Don't plan on it." I yelled as I jumped on top of the robots back.
"Come on, we gotta get out of here." Kyouka shouted while helping Inko up. "Where is Izuku? Where is my baby boy?" She cried out. "Don't worry Inko, he's holding that thing off." Kyouka said as she pointed her thumb back towards me as I was on the robot's back. "That's Izuku?" Kyotoku asked while staring at him in disbelief. "I know it's hard to believe but we will explain later ok. For now let's get out of here and leave it to Izuku." Kyouka ordered and they all agreed. Inko even agreed but really she wanted to see her boy.
While on its back I felt something on my hand. It felt tingly and hot. I lifted my hand and saw the wires were on fire and a trace of a flame coming from the center of my hand. "Oh now this is cool." I clenched my hand into a fist and prepared to try something.
I focused my mind on getting that same feeling I had in one of my hands and tried to get it in both my hands. As soon as I felt it I opened my hands and let out a blast of fire almost like I was a living flamethrower. I hit the robot point blank and I could see some parts of its armor melting. Suddenly I got hit from the side and blasted into a tree.
When I got my focus back I saw the robot standing over me. "Well that's gonna leave a mark ain't it?" I said to the robot as I stood up. Once I was standing the robot swung at me and I brought my arms up to block the attack. I waited for a few seconds before looking past my arms. The robot was all caught up in plants that shot up from the ground.
What I didn't see earlier was that after the robot hit me before I hit the tree, some of the thorns on my arm fell out and sprouted vines at my command. "So they weren't thorns, they were seeds and I can control plants as well huh? Well now you're in trouble." I said as I commanded more of the plants from around me to tie the robot up and hold it still.
While doing that I realized there was a smell in the air. It smelt like gas. "Hmm I wonder." I said to myself while looking around and making sure nobody was nearby. "Well better to find out now." I said as I held a ball of fire in my hand and threw it toward the restrained robot. Suddenly as if out of nowhere there was a huge explosion of fire.
"I thought for sure I was gonna die there." I said looking around at the burnt up area around me. "Maybe I went a little overboard." I then looked at myself and realized my whole right arm is gone. I was about to start panicking until I saw what looked to be a vine growing out of my shoulder and started to regenerate my arm. "Guess I didn't imagine the hole in my side from earlier."
I looked to where the robot was and all I saw was the bottom of it's legs. "Well that's over now." I said as I turned to go and check on everyone.
I found them hiding behind a few trees in the woods. "Hey guys." I said and scared the life out of Kyotoku. He screamed and was about to start running until Mika and Kyouka's jacks wrapped around his foot making him fall on his face. "Honey, how have you already forgotten that Kyouka said that's Izuku?" Mika asked her husband as he sat up and looked at Izuku with an embarrassed look.
"Sorry about that Izuku. Still on edge after that robo- WAIT THE ROBOT WHAT HAPPENED TO IT?" He screamed while looking around in panic. "It's destroyed. I kinda melted it and burned most of the area around us." I told them, calming Kyotoku down. "Wait, How did yo-" Kyouka started but was cut off. "Izuku? What's going on?" I heard the question I knew would come up eventually. I turned to the person who asked. It was my mom.
I stared at her and looked at my hands. "It's a long story mom." I claimed and I then looked toward Kyouka who just nodded. "Well we have time now." Mika cut in. She was just as curious about what had happened. "Let's get a fire started and then we will explain. It's cold out here you know" Kyouka stated as she rubbed her arms trying to warm herself up a little bit. "Good idea. We will be waiting for a while until someone arrives to give us a lift home anyway. You know? With the campervan destroyed and all." Kyotoku agreed but still had fear in his eyes as he never took his eyes off me.
