It's a cold night tonight, Dessy was in her bed in a deep slumber dreaming about whatever.
While her mother was debating on weather to take her child and leave the abusive relationship with her father, or to say till one of them dies. She finally made her decision and hurried to her child's room before he got home.
" Dessy baby wake up for mommy please we gotta go " Dessy's mother shook her awake frantically.
It was about 2:30 in the morning and Dessy's dad was out at the bar again tonight. Maria, Dessy's mother knew he wouldn't be home till 4 because that's always the time he comes home and beats her, but oh was she wrong.. "Mommy? What's wrong ?" Dessy's groggy voice smoke.
"Nothing baby I'm fine we're just gonna take a little trip okay, you wanna visit time square ?" Marie tried to sound excited for her.
" Yeah yeah yeah ! " little Dessy beamed as she hopped out the bed running to the bathroom
" No no no baby we don't have time to brush your teeth just put your shoes on for mommy, okay ? "
" Okay mommy " Dessy smiled as she ran towards her closet.
1 hour later 3:30
As Maria was making her way towards the door the door handle jiggled fear in her heart afraid of what to come next. James, Dessy's father came through the door. Shirt half buttoned, belt on pants unbuckled and drenched in sweat.
" Whereee d-do you think your going bitch " James smoke with so much hate in his voice.
He only got like this when he was drunk, hours later he'd apologize and say how he won't do it again, but don't they all say that..
" N-No James please I-I can't do this anymore, not anymore.." Maria said backing away slowly as tears fell.
James looked at a sleeping Dessy's on Maria's shoulder.
" Go put her back in that goddamn bed right now" He whisper yelled.
" No ! " Maria yelled attempting to wake up Dessy thinking it could save her from being hit.
" You bitch ! " James bolted towards Maria yanked her hair and made her drop Dessy
" Mommy !" Dessy cried and she watched her mother be beaten as if she was a Man.
" ¡ Corre, bebé, corre ! " Maria attempted to yell to her daughter as blood was coming out her mouth. ( translate: run , baby , run !)
" Mommy no ! " Dessy cried as she seen her father coming back from the kitchen with a knife and stab Maria in the side of the stomach.
" C- c- corre b-bebé, I love you my sweet dessy baby... " Maria struggled to get last words out and soon after was stabbed in the neck as blood splatter onto her face that seem to take Dessy out of shook.
Dessy got up and ran as fast as she could out the back door and didn't look back.
"Dessy get back here !" James yelled
Dessy ran and ran till her leg couldn't carry her no further. She ended up at her tete nia's house and it all soon changed.
" Omg... Dessy ? "
