Can you tell me how it feels to float? The endless, cold, blue sky with naught much else, a wary wind buffering your weightless body. The weight of a thousand cold and averted eyes pulls you through the air, basking in disappointment and sadness.
How does it feel to float? It is painless, or freeing? Does it hurt? Do you cry when you see the warm golden glow of hope fade below you?
When you see the withering flowers of prosperity and love curling in upon themselves, what do you feel? Grief, perhaps numbness, possibly nothing at all.
In such a vast, empty world, is it possible to feel? Can you do anything but float away? Away from the disappointment, the heartbreak and the sadness. The gift of nothing as the cure to everything.
So tell me once more, if you would. Can you tell me how it feels to float?
