Eddie sighs as he turns away from the tv and back down at the papers in front of him, he has managed to pinpoint the possible murderer. He looks over at the dog kennel in which a woman lays, awkwardly napping. He sighs again wondering how the hell he even got in this situation.

Creaks on wooden floorboards were the only sound amongst the muffled voice of a man trying his best to get out of the tightly bound rope that kept him sitting in a chair in the middle of a dusty room.
" there's no reason to be scared...well maybe a little, but this all could have been avoided if you just accepted me" a shrill voice spoke softly into his ear as a cold blade traced his jaw
He cried out trying to move away from the blade knowing his life was in threat.

" oh you really mean it?! You'll give little old me a chance?" She came in front of him and forcefully grabbed his face, tearing off the blind foiled tucked into his mouth.

The man tries to speak but when nothing comes out she screams at him.
" SAY IT! SAY IT DAMMIT!" The repeating phrase fills the room, the echoing voice leaving no spot quiet then suddenly all goes quiet before to sound of blood slowly dripping onto the voice now fills the void.

" what, what do you want" I sigh trying to keep my voice low not appreciating the fact this thing thinks I can just talk out in public to them.

" that's what we're here for so shh!" I groan softly and pick up a few drinks and some chocolate going to the counter where Mrs.Chen stands watching tv.
" look at this, found another body in the last week of that serial killer" Mrs Chen points out as the news lady goes over what they currently know. While watching the screen, the front door opens and a lady wearing a black hoodie and some jeans walks in looking a bit disheveled and tired. 'Damn must've just got out of bed' I thought.

Quickly getting the drinks and chocolate I head out and go back to the apartment to settle down and hopefully get more work done.

A ping goes off suddenly alarming me of reality and I see my phone light up. 'Oh forgot I had that dating site..'
Unlocking my phone I go to the app to see who added me and come face with a picture of an amazing looking woman. Scrolling through her profile a bit I found she loves art, staying at home and her big cat Opal. She's quite a looker too, it wouldn't be too much harm to message her I suppose, I think to myself as I message her a simple 'hello, how are you?'
From that simple message sprouted a whole conversation that lasted for a few hours.

The sudden voice of venom coming out of nowhere after being silent for so long totally threw me off.
