A nations capital is it's most important city; one that is trusted to seat the country's government and administrative centers. A capital is a center of trade, communication, and transportation- usually with a high population to accompany such factors. The capital sets an example for the rest of the nation, providing an image of unity, and strength.

Walking along the ruble, things fell silent between the nations. Buildings; homes, offices, vendors, just about everything that made the city lively- or to help the people feel lively; was in ruins. It was hard to bear the sight, but even harder to imagine what happened to the population.
[c/n] held their chest ever so slightly, trying to mask their pain. After re-cooperating themselves; the nation realized they were in the presence of some powerful figures. The pain was constant; and the sinking feeling made (y/n) feel as if a hole was in place of their heart. [cap/n] was the heart of the nation. Figuratively and literally. Their breathing began to shorten, their vision going blurry; the exhaustion and the stress now having time to catch up suddenly went full sprint. Keeping quite about their condition, [y/n] did their best to march forward.
"Soooo....Just so we're all caught up 'n stuff, we're all countries. Y-Yeah?" That last part was an attempt to sound confident in his answers, but America was careful, and perhaps quick to his excitement when believing (y/n) was [c/n].
"Tu es un imbécile. Oui, this [c/n], though their latest portrait does not quite capture the charm of this cute nati-" France gushed and was about to go into a hug before being smack behind his head by an angry Brit.
"Don't hold someone who doesn't know us just yet! We're still strangers to them you bloody wanker!" England huffed as the idea came to mind. His yells and complaints seemed to remind you of a time in your childhood; perhaps remembering some of your first friends arguing; teasing each other; as children do. France smiled; wanting to use his frienemies's words against him.
"Fine! Then we will be strangers no longer; [c/n], know me as France; or between us nations, I am Francis Bonnefoy! Such an elegant name for an elegant country like moi." He seemed to pose; and a small gust carrying rose petals seemed to surround him. (y/n) looked back to him and nodded;
"It is a pleasu-" You were cut off.
"YO! Like I've told you before, and I'm sure it's hard to forget, but I'll remind you anyways! I'm the world's hero! America-dawg!" The loud man boasted as he posed as well. Staring at him, then France, (y/n) figured they may have been good friends; perhaps brothers.
"America-dawg?... Hero?" (y/n) questioned, trying to keep their mind busy with questions helped to mask some pain.
"Those are just nicknames, but you can call me Alfred. Or Alfred F. Jones. The F stands for 'Freedom'!" The loud country chimed; proud of his name.
"We also call him 'loud', 'annoying', and on occasion, 'stupid'." China whispered to the new nation, causing a weak smile to grow. It was a nice tease that was enjoyed despite the pain.
"I am China; you may rely on me for advice from now on. I am a rather wise country and have been around long enough to put in good input. You may also call me Yao Wang." He seemed proud of his age and his background. His human name also held a great significance; it it referred to him as a king of sorts.
"Oh friend; Yao...." A cheery voice called; hiding a cold demeanor for the moment. Yao shivered slightly; looking back to the source- Russia. Despite being neighbors, and allies, the smaller of the two couldn't help but feel nervous.
"(c-c/n), why don't I introduce you to my kid brother; Japan? Kiku, come here! Let our new friend gaze upon our family's good looks!" Yao was quick to avert his attention away from the cold nation; quickly turning (y/n) to face a blank stare from the country that had saved you but an hour ago. A bit of silence followed before Japan nodded to acknowledge his brother's comment.
