TW: Mild Cursing
Magic, one of the very few wonders of the world, yet strangely common within the young boy's timeline. He huffed out a sigh as he began to wave his hands frantically at the glass of water in front of him; usually this scenario would go somewhere in two ways. One being that the water would break the glass and flow onto the desk or two, where it would gusher out of the glass like a fountain and fill the room with water. However, for some odd reason, none of the scenarios were playing out; instead the boy's wishy-washy hand movements were doing nothing. "Why won't it move?!" Sticking his tongue out in frustration, the male slammed his hands onto the desk; watching as the glass flew into the air before crashing down with a clink. "Oops." In about two seconds, the outburst will come-
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT NOISE?!"
Then the trudging of footsteps upstairs and the rushed banging on the door-
"OPEN THIS DOOR UP RIGHT NOW YOUNG MAN!"
And then the scolding.
With the bursting open of the door, an angry woman stands cross-armed and feet tapping repeatedly on the wooden flooring. "You better explain yourself mister." The young boy just turned to his mother with a half-grin.
"A-ah just...you know, the usual. M-making the water...move?" Although there was nothing wrong with his explanation, the damning glare from the woman made him cower and question himself. With a shake of her head and a dejected sigh, the woman replied. "Mister, it's fine to practice your magic, but not when your power is unstable and you have no clue how to use it!" Raising her voice at the last syllable the boy quickly nodded his head.
"Yes mum, sorry mum." His mother let out a groan before placing her hand onto her forehead."Remember dear, you can't just expect your powers to work with you when you have no idea what you're doing. They don't just suddenly decide to do what you want in your head, you have to make the magic work with you." Picking up the door that had fallen to the ground from her outburst, she quickly picked it up and slammed it into the door frame. "I'll get your father to fix this when he gets back, oh! And remember to read the letter on your desk otherwise there will be serious consequences! Do I make myself clear...
Yang Jungwon?"
Sending a nervous nod to his mother she finally smiled and left the room, causing the boy to sink into his seat and grab the antique-looking envelope. With careful fingers he pries it open and places the letter onto the desk. Crossing his fingers Jungwon thought to himself, "Please don't let it be an acceptance letter, please don't let it be an acceptance letter," as he peeked an eye at the paper.
"Dear Yang Jungwon,You have been accep-"
"NOPE!" The boy quickly closed the letter and ran down stairs to complain to his mother - kicking down the already-broken door of his bedroom. "MUM! WHY DID YOU SEND THE APPLICATION TO AVADRONIA?!" He screamed running to the woman.
"DON'T YELL AT ME JUNGWON! I BROUGHT YOU INTO THIS WORLD I CAN EASILY TAKE YOU OUT!" She cursed back and began chasing after the boy with her ladle."WHAT! YOU HAVE STRENGTH MAGIC MUM, YOUR GONNA MAKE ME END UP LIKE MY BROKEN DOOR!" Jungwon shrieked as he was chased around the kitchen island.
"I'LL DO MORE THAN THAT SON!"
As the two bickered and ran after each-other, the front door opened and both of them were held by their shoulders. "No one is going to use their powers to destroy each other AND the house. I already had to clean BOTH of your messes yesterday and now I have to do it all over again today." The man spoke, watching as the two hung their heads in shame.
"Sorry honey."
"Sorry dad."The two replied at the same time and glanced to each other before looking back up at the man. He just shook his head and removed his hands from their shoulders.
"So... how many doors do I have to fix today?"
"Only two..."
