New Beginnings

Rona woke up the next day, after that intense session with Seokhoon last night, it did not take her long before she was soon asleep. However, when she woke up she felt a bit sick. She wondered if it was possibly something she ate last night. Some of her muscles ached when she moved around.

By mid-morning she had not felt any better, she grew suspicious. She quickly called Kyung Jun telling him to bring her a pregnancy test. Kyung Jun, hearing this, quickly rushed out of his apartment to the nearby pharmacy. About 20 minutes after she called, Kyung arrived. "How are you feeling? Why do you suspect you are pregnant?"

Rona blushed, "Well I have been feeling sore the entire morning and a bit sick. At first I thought it was maybe something that I ate but I didn't need to go to the toilet. Also, Seokhoon and I have sort of been non stop for sometime..." Kyung Jun smiled, "Here I brought 3, I read that it is good for you to take two tests to confirm your results." Rona took the bag and ran to the toilet, she was in there for close to an hour. Kyung Jun was worried and knocked on the door, "Rona are you okay? Is everything alright? Can I come in?" Kyung Jun heard a muffled yes, and he opened the door.

Rona was on the bathroom floor crying, Kyung Jun immediately ran to her, "What happened? Why are you crying?" Rona did not say anything, she just took the two tests on the bathroom counter and put it in front of Kyung Jun on the floor. Kyung Jun looked at the test and saw that both were positive. She was pregnant! "I am pregnant oppa! I am pregnant" Rona continued to cry, Kyung Jun hugged her "Congratulation Rona, you and Seokhoon deserve it."

Kyung Jun decided it would be wise to bring Rona to a hospital to confirm the results. Rona was careful and made sure she dressed warmly before leaving the house. Kyung Jun drove her to the hospital, after taking her blood, the doctor arrived to scan Rona. As she put the probe over her stomach, the image was slowly coming on the computer. After adjusting the probe around her stomach, the doctor turned to Rona, "Congratulations Mrs Rona, you are pregnant." Rona began to cry, at first she was shocked by the positive result but to hear it confirmed by the doctor was something else. The doctor took a screenshot and showed Rona exactly where the baby was, "Based on your scans, it looks like you are about 6 weeks pregnant. Did you not notice with your monthly period?"

"I know I had my period in the first week of October. After that I have to admit I have not kept track. We moved to Vienna and then had a concert so I was preoccupied. I also assumed that perhaps with the stress of the move it delayed my period just a bit. My husband and I only really began to actively try about 3 days ago. I was not anticipating it so soon." Rona replied. "Well that is understandable, moving to a new country will definitely bring about some level of stress but based on the size of the fetus, you were pregnant even before you came."

Rona having experience a miscarriage before was worried and asked the doctor many questions and also told her of his miscarriage. "I am sorry you had to go through such a traumatic experience, but so far the fetus looks good, we have your blood so we will run some tests. Your husband is not here with you today?" "No, he is currently in France. He will only be back tomorrow night."

"Okay, well till you and your husband come together, I would suggest that you avoid anything strenuous, try not to shower in cold water and drink and eat more warm foods. Now that you have passed the 1st month your body will be starting to stablise more to the pregnancy, so you don't have to worry too much. It is still healthy for you to move around and exercise, some light walks are good." "Thank you doctor, I will take your advice."

Kyung Jun drove Rona back home, "Oppa, I think it is a good idea that you stay at our house tonight, just in case anything happens at least you are near." Kyung Jun liked that idea, even though he did not live far away from them, it would still take him some time to reach Rona if something did happen. Kyung Jun will stay in their guest bedroom tonight. "Are you going to tell Seokhoon?" "No, I want him to concentrate on his performance plus I would like to inform him in a small event way. It is better to tell these kinds of things in person."

Rona had gotten a picture of her ultrasound, she was staring at looking at the baby. Even though it was not obvious from the scans that she was pregnant, the fetus was still really small, she felt overjoyed just looking at it. The remainder of the day, Kyung Jun made sure Rona did not overexert herself, Rona was also a bit more careful, her experience with her miscarriage had made her slightly fearful but she still listen to the doctor's advice and exercise a bit. She spent most of the day practicing her singing, and taking small short walks on the treadmill.

Rona ended up falling asleep by 9pm, she was awoken by her phone ringing. "Hello....." "Hello baby, did I wake you up?" Seokhoon's voice rang through the phone. "I am sorry, I must have been tired, the moment I laid on the bed I fell asleep. How did the performance go?" Rona sat up in bed. "The performance was great, I was amazed at the talent that the organisers had brought to this event. It was really humbling to see and learn from these people." "I am glad that the concert was a success. You still have one more tomorrow am I right?" "Yes, I have one more, after the concert ends I will be flying out right away. I should arrive back in Vienna around 12am, so don't wait for me. How was your day?" Rona told Seokhoon generally what she did, she was specific to leave out her going to the doctor and visiting the hospital. She wanted to surprise him with the news when he came back. After talking for another 15 minutes, Seokhoon let her go to sleep.

The next day came and went, Rona spent most of the day planning her surprise reveal to Seokhoon. Kyung Jun helped her with planning the reveal. Rona was asleep by 10pm, Seokhoonarrived in Vienna around 11pm and got home in under 30 minutes. He silently entered the house, he saw his wife sleeping, he quietly went to take a bath. He softly slipped into bed, Rona in her sleep felt the bed dipped. "Seokhoon?..." Rona mumbled. "Shhh, hello Rona I am back, go back to sleep." Rona listened to her husband and soon fell back asleep.
