Chapter 18 - Preparation

(Rimuru's POV)

We arrived in the meeting room inside the executive building. This will be where we will held our meetings for now. When the orcs serve me and Ciel, the dwarves's and our subordinate's idea about making a castle for me and Ciel will be made.

Me and Ciel, are seated in the front of the rectangular table. The people present in the meeting are Akamaru, Rigurd, Shizu, Benimaru, Shion, Shuna, Hakurou, Souie, Kurobe, Kaijin, Vesta, older Rigur, younger Rigur, some Goblin Lords, and some Ogre Lords. I assigned some kijins to be 'Ogre Lords' that will work for Akamaru.

As for Veldora he's probably in his house after training Zegion and Apito, I told them to take breaks once in a while. Even they don't need it, I don't want to be a person that let someone they cherish to overdo and overworked themselves, I cherish and love all of my subordinates and friends.

"Now let's get started" (Rimuru) said and the people present nodded.

"First off, why are the orcs here?" (Vesta)

"Orcs are not very intelligent monsters. If there's something behind this invasion rather than just instinct, we should suspect there's someone backing them" (Kaijin)

"It is a 'Demon Lord' backing them from behind the scenes, the orcs are here because of the famine. An 'Orc Lord' have been born and someone manipulates the 'Orc Lord' to do whatever they are planning" (Rimuru)

"A unique skill of the 'Orc Lord' {Starved}, It allows the user to bestow the effects of the skill upon his subordinates which allows them to eat anything and everything in sight in exchange for a constant feeling of starvation. They will gain some of the properties of what they eat" (Ciel)

"Orc Lord, isn't that a monster that appear every few centuries?" (Shizue) asked, and Rimuru nodded.

"The orcs move forward for no other purpose than to sate their endless hunger and gain more power, that is their king's only wish" (Rimuru) said and she continued. The people that is currently present are shock by how Rimuru and Ciel know so much but didn't bother to ask how they know, for they greatly trust and admire they're masters that protects them.

"Isn't that right Treyni the dryad?" (Rimuru) said, her subordinates got confused and Treyni got shocked.

Treyni appeared at the center of the table, our subordinates went near us trying to shield and defend us from this unknown stranger.

"That's right, rulers of monsters, Rimuru Tempest-sama, Ciel-sama, and those that are loyal to them. Sorry for the unannounced visit, I am Treyni, a dryad" (Treyni) said, trying to act calm and compose but on the inside is still shocked.

"(Shocked) Dryad?!" (Shizue) said, the others were also quite surprised.

"Rulers of Monsters, Rimuru Tempest-sama and Ciel-sama. I ask you to defeat the 'Orc Lord'" (Treyni) said and got down from the table. 

The 'Dryads' knows what are the happenings in the forest. When people talk to Veldora or Veldora talks to people, we always put a barrier around so the dryads won't know it's Veldora but only a normal human. This is the reason she doesn't know, she will probably ask Veldora if she knew because he's the guardian of this forest.

"That's quite an selfish request for someone who just appeared out of nowhere, Treyni the dryad" (Akamaru)

This time it's Akamaru that said it instead of Benimaru, they are quite alike, both in personality and looks.

"I know it's selfish but this town is now the strongest in the Jura Forest. We, dryads can't face the orcs alone so we have to ask for help for the forest we lived in" (Treyni) said and she continued.
