War

It was like any other day of war in Obelia, the war started one year ago after Athansia's seventeenth birthday. War started between Claude and his brother, the previous emperor.

It's been a year since Athy's father and her beloved Lucas had left for war.They don't send letters a lot only about two times a month if she's lucky, if she's not lucky she wouldn't get a letter for two months.

Athy was running the kingdom , Claude didnt let her join the battlefield neither did Lucas although she has strong magical powers. Running the kingdom at such a young age was of course hard for her, not to mention her worries about her father and Lucas, even Felix. Poor Lilian just after they got engaged she had to say her goodbyes to him.

The kingdom was doing good for a kingdom in war thanks to Athy's hard work and the support from Siodonna kingdom. Athy was trying very hard for the people around her, although she wasn't doing so good herself. Eye bags could be visible under her eyes. She wasnt getting much sleep because of running the kingdom. It was very hard since they were in war. Even when she had the chance to sleep she couldn't sleep much due to her worry for loved ones.

Two weeks after her eighteenth birthday she had no time to celebrate, the war had finally ended. It was one happy week when soldiers were coming back home to their wives and children. It was sweet joy and pure bliss smiles were worn on everybody's faces, happy tears spilling from their eyes.

Claude and Lucas were coming one week later and Athy was very excited ... She didn't know what was waiting for her.

{Day of their arrival}

Athy was pacing outside waiting for them to arrive. She saw her father on a horse and a carriage following behind him. She ran up to her father, he got off his horse. She hugged him, such a sweet heartfelt moment would make anyone tear up. She could see Lily crying and hugging Felix from the corner of her eye.

She finally let go of her father and wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes. She then looked around, looking for lucas. She then turned to her father to ask him. Unknown emotions swarmed in his eyes. If you looked deep enough you would find empathy, empathy for his only daughter that's about to out something very upsetting.

Claude cleared his throat and started "Lucas , he is injured , he got stabbed in the chest he has been unconscious for four days now he told me not to tell you he didn't think he would be unconscious for this long." Athy dropped to her knees she couldn't hear anything nor see anything as she started crying. Her father bent down beside her and hugged her Lily and Felix came running as well to comfort her.

{Two days later}

Athy has been free the past two days since her father came back. She spent her free time next to Lucas. She didn't sleep for the past two days and barely ate anything too. Claude had to hand feed her himself.

Athy went to take a bath in hopes of refreshing her mind also Lily has been requesting that. She finished her bath feeling slightly refreshed. She sat in front of the mirror while Lily brushed her hair. Her mind wandered off to the many things that have happened recently. Suddenly a maid came in panting. Lily was about to ask why she barged in like that until the maid said "Lord magician.....he....woke up. "Almost immediately Athy shot up from her seat and ran to the other room.

She reached the room and looked to see her beloved sitting on the bed. He saw her, he stared at her then smiled and opened his arms wide open. She quickly ran into his arms crying. Lily came , her heart warmed at the sight she shut the door and left to give them some privacy.

After Athy calmed down she got up and bonked Lucas on the head and said "how could you be so reckless you could have d-died you idiot I was worried" she was still crying. Lucas pulled her into a hug and whispered into her ear "shhh it's okay" he continued whispering sweet nothings into her ear until she fell asleep.

'Must have not been sleeping well' thought Lucas he laid her on the bed and soon fell asleep beside her, the sight was adorable.

After that only giggles and smiles filled the palace. Except for when Claude was giving Lucas cold icy glares.
