Monsters are scary. They're cold, cruel and come in all shapes/sizes. I've been hiding from them ever since I was a kid. That's what everyone taught me to do. I was always smart about the people I was with, in case they were monsters in disguise.  Then, I met you. You were the Sweetest person I ever met. And one of the most interesting. You never thought I was a monster. You trusted me, which is something people never do. In turn, I trusted you. I had no reason not to. Days with you felt so nice. After all, you were the one who gave me life. I remember one day you told me that not all monsters were bad. I inched away from you, scared and nervous. I also remember you calmed me down. You explained it to me. That the monsters never had a chance to show themselves. I understood then. Days, even weeks pass without a serious conversation. Then one night you look at me and say "don't be scared or nervous of what I'm about to show you". Naturally, I was a little confused and nervous, but I simply nodded and let her do what she planned. She delicately took a knife to her wrist and looked at me. I panicked and snatched the knife from her. I remember dropping it on the floor and hugging her right away. She appeared to be confused, which made me feel like I did something wrong. Then I remembered what she said and gave her the knife I had thrown on the ground. "Now are you going to let me show you?" I didn't react. She put the knife once again to her wrist and cut it ever so slightly. My instinct to help was barely being contained due to the fact that I could see her pain. She quickly covered the wound and looked at me. "Are you ready now?" I said I was ready, but when I saw it, I was taken by surprise. Her blood was blue. Just like the monsters they tell us about. Now it makes sense why she told me that all those days ago. I'm not scared. Not of her. She never did anything to me, not even once.
She looked into my eyes, and I saw desperation. "Will you… become a monster with me?" I felt a shock go through my body. My heart stopped beating. The world went silent, waiting for my answer. Again, I didn't say a single word. I just nodded my head ever so slightly. This was enough for her to notice. "good. Now I really need you to not move a muscle." I closed my eyes and waited. I hear her footsteps lightly edge closer towards me. They came to a subtle stop a few inches away. I could feel her light breathing coming up against my skin. Goosebumps appeared all over me. She must've noticed, because she leaned towards my ear and whispered "it's okay, just trust me". Her delicate voice made me feel warm inside yet sent a chill across my skin. She proceeded to lean close to my face and put her finger on my lip. I swallowed out of nervousness. I then proceeded to open my eyes to see her staring right back at me. I felt blood surge through my cheeks. She smirked as she noticed this."I haven't even gotten to the fun part yet". I came to realize that she was teasing me.i told her to get it over with, and she sighed. "Alright fine I'll do it". She went back to her cheerful demeanor and put her lips down on my neck. They felt so cold. Colder than the most frigid arctic winds. I enjoyed it though. It made me feel so alive. She lifted her lips from my neck and stared into my eyes once again. Off the corner of her mouth, there appeared to be blood dripping down. I put my thumb to her lip and wiped the blood. In doing so, I caressed the side of her face, and put my hand to her chin. Her cheeks had a light blue hue to them now. It was so beautiful, almost like she was a snow angel, come to bring me happiness. I felt my logic and sense of doubt go as I leaned towards her. It felt like a million years between me putting my hands there on her angelic face and my lips making contact with hers. When it finally happened, the world resumed. A thousand words. a thousand smiles. A thousand explosions. All in one. I didn't just stop at her lips. My body and hers mixed and mangled. We moved like ribbons flowing in the wind. I was hers and she was mine. Everything revolved around us. There was nothing in this moment but her. Nothing but us. For I was her and she was me. I was just like her now. After we finished. I got up and went to the mirror to see myself. I looked at my neck. She had bitten me. Across my chest and down my body, I could see blood. It was strange though. It was red at the very end of the stream, but at the start it was blue. Was I truly just like her now? I felt a pair of warm hands come across my bare waist, just barely wrapping all the way around. She peeked around me and smiled at the mirror, her bright white teeth glaring at me. "You're just like me now" she close her eyes and leaned her head on my arm. I suppose we are. I wouldn't have it any other way.
