I laid next to Latrell as he just looked at me the party was still going on but he wanted to spend the rest of the night with just me and I wasn't complaining at all. "I missed you a lot Lex" he held onto my hand before kissing it as I smiled because I missed these moments the most. "I kept all your letters. I'm glad you were able to write me" I said to him as he smirked cheekily before laughing "girl you know I'll always find a way to communicate with you" he pulled me closer to him and I think it's just because he missed me so much he wanted me as close as possible.
"First night out and here we are in bed instead of running wild in the night like old-time sake," I said to him as he just looked out the window now. One thing I loved about him was that he never put me in harm's way no matter what we were doing. People always made jokes saying he wasn't safe and how could I be with someone like him but that was the thing he loved me so much he would never think about hurting me not even for a second.
"I love you," he said to me as I kissed his cheek "I love you more baby" I snuggled up closer to him as we just laid in silence.

The next morning
Manny
Monse and Vero weren't talking at all after Vero told monse her and Cesar were going to give it a shot. At first, I thought monse was okay with it until her whole mood shifted and she started acting differently towards Vero while we were cooking us some food. I had to break up the arguments twice and I was honestly stressed out so I called Jasmine to come over because I couldn't handle all the girl drama. She told me she was bringing Olivia and Kelsey because they were all together which I was okay with.
"Okay so fill us in again girl," Jasmine said as we sat outside on the patio "Vero and Cesar are a thing now and monse ain't having it," I said to keep it short so they would understand just how serious it was between these two girls who were fighting. "Cesar texted monse and apologized for it but he ended it off by saying he wants to be happy and Vero makes him happy," I said as Jasmine gave me that look and I knew what it meant. "Never ever say that to a girl who is madly in love with you," Jasmine said as Vero walked outside yawning "wassup" she nodded her head at everyone before sitting next to me putting her head on my shoulder.
I wasn't taking sides because I liked them both but me and Vero were closer than me and monse so in my head I think my mind kind of favored vero being with Cesar more but my heart knew it was wrong to really act on it. Which made me glad that Alexa gave her that advice instead of me so I wouldn't be in the middle of it. "Y'all shouldn't fight over Cesar it ain't worth it," Olivia said as Kelsey nodded her head. Alexa's car pulled up just in time as Latrell got out first "aye mami" Vero stood up as Alexa did a cute little turn before walking over to us.
"How was the sleepover babies" she looked at us before sitting her bag on my lap. "A hot damn mess all monse and Vero did was fight. I'm a pretty girl I can't be breaking my nail" I expressed to Alexa as she just laughed because she was just like me. We hated fighting and we also hated breaking up fights because our manis snd pedis were too damn expensive to mess up but that didn't mean we wouldn't fight. "Y'all are friends let's not let a boy break us up especially not no damn Santo," Alexa said as Vero gave her this look of agreement.
"How does freedom feel," I asked Latrell as he pushed my head back a bit as I smiled. He was always like the big brother I never had and I loved him and Alexa together. She had a great boyfriend and he protected all of us in return so it was like a win-win for everyone. "shit ain't nothing like being free if I'm honest I'm going try and stay out" he shrugged his shoulders before taking Alexa's bag off my lap and walking into the house.
"He's adjusting back to the society I mean he wasn't gone long but it was enough for him to know he doesn't want to be back in a terrible place like that," she said to me before nodding her head at my friends and following Latrell. "Come on Jamal and ruby want to hang out" monse walked out the front door as I looked over at Vero who was already looking at me with the same look on her face. Monse was still upset that's why she was excluding Cesar from anything but I wasn't going to let her ice him out.
It took us 15 minutes to walk from our side to this side and we got weird looks sometimes but I didn't care. "Yoo" Cesar walked over to us putting his arm around mine and Vero's neck which made me roll my eyes because I hated this. He didn't do it all cute and comfortable Cesar would literally drag you across the street this way because he wanted to walk faster than everyone else. "Annoying much," I asked Cesar before moving his arm from around me as Vero was blushing.
"Wassup baby" he kissed her cheek as monse rolled her eyes before practically running over to ruby and Jamal pretending to have a conversation. "Heard Latrell got out," Cesar asked as he looked over at me.
I nodded my head yeah before looking at Vero "everybody was on his ass for getting busted like that even Los Santos wanted to make a move on his street since he got locked up" Cesar said as I just nodded my head "y'all need to leave him alone Alexa won't be happy if y'all fuck up her man stuff" we walked into Cesar's yard as all the older men around gave me death glares. They knew the set I rolled with but because I was Cesar's friend they couldn't touch me thanks to Oscar.
"What's this bitch doing over here" I heard one of the older Santos yell out which made me stand behind Cesar because I was afraid. "Back off Oscar said it's okay if she's on our side" he put his hand out to push the guy back but he just kept looking at me with eyes full of hatred. "Bitch" he called out to me as I just looked away because I didn't want to start anything while in another area I'm not that familiar with. "You good" Cesar asked me as I nodded my head taking my phone out to call my sister.
