"But Seb, I don't wanna go," she whines and plops face down into her couch cushions.
"Come on, Y/N. You need to get out of the house," Seb responds.
"I know but this is a party at RDJ's house. It is going to be all of Chris' friends which means Chris will be there," she tells him.
"First off, they are your friends too. Scarlett and Lizzie were just telling me how much they miss you. Second, Chris is not going to be there. I already talked to him," Seb counters.
She lifts her head out of the pillows and looks at Seb.
"He really won't be there. See," he asks, showing her the text from Chris saying he won't be at the party.
"I don't have anything to wear," she argues.
"Yes you do. Start getting ready and I will go to your closet and find you something to wear." he responds.
She tries to stare angrily at Seb but she knows he is right. She sighs and heads up the stairs to her room.
"I'm drinking tonight," she shouts to him.
"Okay," he responds.
"A lot," she shouts.
"Okay," he responds again.
"Like a lot, a lot," she shouts.
He hurries up the stairs behind her. Before she gets to her bathroom, he grabs her hand and turns her to him.
"I've got you tonight, Y/N. Drink as much as you want to but remember the point is to have fun," he says.
"I know. I was being dramatic. You would think being an actor, you would have recognized that," she jokes.
He laughs hard and pulls her in for a hug.
"That's the friend I've missed so much," he says.
"Thank you Sebby. I know I haven't been easy to be around and you have been here every day," she says.
"I do deserve a medal for putting up with you these last few months," he jokes. "But seriously, you're one of my best friends. Being here for you is exactly where I was supposed to be."
Sebastian moved in with her after the first week of the breakup. The first week she wasn't eating, sleeping, or showering. He moved in to make sure she was taken care of while she processed the breakup. After a couple of weeks, she started taking care of herself but they both found they enjoyed spending time with each other with no one else around. Not that either one of them told the other that.
"Your agent doesn't feel that way. She hates me," she replies.
"She doesn't hate you and she's your agent too," Seb laughs.
"That's how I know she hates me," she responds, heading into the bathroom.
As she is in her bathroom doing her makeup, Seb makes his way to her closet. As he looks through her dresses, he finds one still in the hanging bag from the store. He looks inside and smiles. She is going to kill him but this is the perfect dress for tonight. He pulls it out of the bag and hangs it over the closet door.
She walks out of the bathroom and sees the dress hanging on the door. It is a gorgeous teal skater dress with a plunging neckline and twisted back straps. The teal fabric has strands of silver metallic threads woven in. She looks at Seb and shakes her head.
"I can't wear this one. It's...," she starts.
"It's the one you bought for your anniversary date that you didn't get to wear. That is exactly why you should wear this. Is it fair to this dress that you are leaving it hanging in the back of the closet because your ex is an asshole who didn't realize how amazing he had it," Seb argues.
