            Oh God. What have I done? This is not what she would have wanted. She would never forgive me for this. I hold my breath as I plummet to the rocks below. No good to waste energy breathing if I’ll be dead in a few seconds. Probably less. As my limp self freefalls down the cliff I used to scale when I could, three thoughts form in my head:

Vengeance is addictively delightful, but only for a split second. Then it hits you like someone knocked the wind out of your lungs: first the pleasure, then the remorse, then the self-hatred.
