I'm Sorry {Jungkook ff}

Chapter 3

<so sorry for the long break. I'm in my final year of high school so it's been hectic with all these exams, essays, and so on. I'll try my best and work towards my goal of uploading at least once or twice a month!> 

(Y/n's Pov)

"I'd like a Green smoothie and an Apple Fritter please." ~JK

From the corner of my eye I could see Ms. Zimmerman take a deep breath before opening her mouth to speak.

"Y/n, get to it." ~Ms. Zimmerman 

I guess I was too flustered seeing him again because although her tone on such a day was putting me on the edge... I forgot all about her shitty temper and started preparing the smoothie.

Only a couple minutes passed. While waiting for the blender to finish it's job, I grabbed a small bag and pulled an apple fritter from the display counter.

"Excuse me, can you grab the one closest to the glass on the left?" ~JK

I looked up and our eyes met. Holding in my blush to the best of my ability, I looked down and reached for the one he asked.

I took a step back so I could wrap up his food in the bag. After I finished, I handed it to him and placed the other one back into the glass.

"No I want that one too..." ~JK

I looked up confused only to be greeted by a five dollar bill and a smile. 

"Why didn't you say you wanted two earlier?" ~Y/n

He chuckled so cutely.

"I decided last minute. That's ok right?" ~JK said with an even wider smile.

It was so endearing the way his face was lit up. I was suspicious though. That smile however sweet it may be, definitely held a bit of mischief.

I wasted no time in smiling back followed by quick hands wrapping up the second confection.

"Hold on one second... I do believe that beep is the sound of your smoothie." ~Y/n

I walked away to the back to grab his last item while my heart begged me to go back and ask him everything I wanted to know.

(Jungkook's Pov)

I waited for her to come back with eagerness as I tapped my shoe. *sigh* I hope this goes well.

"Alright sir, here's your drink. Have a wonderful day and come back whenever you crave another treat!"

She handed it to me but before I could speak, she walked away.

The lady who appeared to be her boss had been silent ever since I called her out. She just sat in the corner and supervised.

"Ma'am I know she's still on duty but I could pay you quite a bit of money today if you let her have a break to sit down and eat with me." ~JK smirked while holding up his black card.

She looked stunned for a second not sure what to say.

"I-I mean I believe it could be against company policy to accept bribes... A-and we have other customers... but *nervous chuckles* I think today we can make an exception." ~Ms. Zimmerman

I just showed a genuine looking but very fake smile as she walked back to get Y/n. I rolled my eyes after she left.

"Some people only behave when they get something out of it."

(Y/n's Pov)

"Some guy just got you an early break, don't make me regret being nice to you." ~Ms. Zimmerman

As she explained the guy you just served asked to sit down and eat with you your eyes widened.

"I won't waste a second of your time! Thank you for allowing me to have an early break!" ~Y/n

With that I immediately made my way to the front. There he was, standing back facing to the counter looking at his watch. I decided to wait for a second to see what he does when I'm not looking.

I watched him shift uncomfortably adjusting the fabric of his turtle neck. I wanted to laugh but I felt I should watch a little bit longer.

After a couple seconds he pulled out his phone and opened an app. I couldn't see exactly what it was so I tried moving closer.

Successfully standing only a couple feet behind him, I could see his screen better. My eyes moved to the profile pic at the top of the screen only to recognize my own picture... my Instagram profile picture.

How the hell did he get my Instagram? Just as I started backing away in fear *thud*I bumped into my boss who was standing behind me. 

"Get over there and do what I asked of I'm deducting this weeks pay!" ~Ms. Zimmerman whisper yelled in my ear while pushing me away from her.

She walked back and I turned around again to face the man I've been looking for. He stood there with a goofy looking bunny smile. How could this man be the same one who stabbed someone right in front of me.

"Shall we sit by the window? I've always preferred to have a view when I eat." ~JK

"Sure. As long as you're comfortable." ~I smiled hiding my slightly shaky hands.

"Great!" ~JK

I hesitantly guided him to a window facing table and pulled out his chair for him. I started walking to the other side to seat myself only to see him walk past the chair I had pulled out for him.

He reached the chair I was walking to and lightly grabbed my wrist guiding me back to the chair I just pulled out. He sat me down then walked over to the other chair and sat himself.

That was... something...

(Jungkook's Pov)

She was facing away from me looking rather flustered so I took this chance and slid the second pastry over to her side of the table.

She looked down at the pastry then looked up at me. She looked me right in the eyes only for a split second before looking down again.

"Are you sure you want to give this to me?" ~Y/n

"Who says I'm giving it to you?" ~ I raised one eyebrow at her.

Her face started turning pink with the serious and awkward atmosphere. I broke the silence with a light laugh.

"I'm just messing with you. Why else would I push it over to you?" ~My smile grew and my eyes almost disappeared.

(Y/n's Pov)

Gosh why does he feel the need to embarrass me like that. I started slightly pouting as he continued to smile at me. The discomfort disappeared so I'm thankful for that.

Whatever the situation I needed to cut to the chase. I was about to speak when he started instead.

"Now. I think you have a good idea why I asked you to sit down with me' ~JK

His words startled me and I froze for a second not sure what to say. I decided to just give him a slight nod.

He looked down at his food while one arm stretched onto the table holding his drink. The smile slowly shrank into a neutral expression.

"Right then." ~JK

"So I guess you want to talk about the inci-" ~Y/n

"I'd like to know if you would go skating with me." ~JK

"huh?" ~Y/n
