THE SPECTER WAS FRAMED. She didn't kill those people. But it isn't like she had anywhere to go but Belle Reeve. Kidnapped and experimented on at a young age, The Specter doesn't know her own name let alone where she comes from.
SHE DOES KNOW THAT SHE ISN'T A FAN OF AMANDA WALLER. But these missions give her something to do. When she's sent to Corto Maltese, The Specter regains her freedom but loses some friends in the process.
NOW SHES ON HER OWN MISSION. To find out who she is. When a new friend offers her assistance in digging up her past in return for one more mission, she accepts. What she doesn't realize is that Peacemaker, someone who had once been her friend, is also on this off the books mission.
WORKING WITH PEACEMAKER IS THE LAST THING SHE WANTS TO DO. But it's a sacrifice she's willing to make. She made a promise, and she doesn't break promises. Besides, how bad can it be? Plus, his friend is kinda cute.
