Jen touched the mirror and it was completely solid. "Hmm", she said in a puzzled tone. She pushed harder against the mirror and fell in. Jay ran into the mirror too and splashed in a lake! He swam up and found that he was quite close to shore, so he swam to it. Once he reached the shore he yelled and cried, "Jen! Where are you! Didn't Ms. Maudna teach you how to swim?!" He dived in the water and looked for her, but he couldn't find her so, he started panicking, "Oh where is my sister, oh where is little Jen!" He thought to himself. He swam back to the shore to look for help. He saw a girl with bright red hair in the water. He went closer and saw that her eyes were a mint green and skin was very pale. "You seek for help young sir?", she asked in her high pitched voice. "Umm, yes, yes actually, I'm looking for my sister. She's, uhh, young almost 9 this, was it, September? Dark brown hair, uhh bright blue eyes, sort of, kinda looks like me.", said Jay. "Saw one of your kind down by the creek a while ago, taller than you though, very pretty.", the girl replied. Jay thought, that girl saw my mom! Jay asked politely, "Can you show me the way to the creek miss, umm." "Terra, it's Terra.", she said. Terra started swimming along, Jay thought he'd be seeing legs, but instead he saw an aqua blue tail that blended in perfectly with the water. "Mermaid, Terra, you're a, mermaid, how?", Jay asked in a puzzled but shocked voice. "Have you not seen a mermaid in Cythle (sáy-thel) before?", she replied. "No, no I haven't, Cythle? Where am I?" "Ugh you're in Cythle, home of the Dokonos or 'Magical Creatures' as you Medonos or 'Humans' call us.", she said in a sarcastic tone. " By the way we're at the creek now you've been following me the whole way." Terra said then just swam away. Mermaids had attitude, thought Jay, he then turned and saw a girl with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes in the water. "Are you another mermaid?", he asked. "No Jay, it's me Jen!", said Jen in a cheerful and excited way. Jay replied in relief, "Phew, Jen you scared me I've been looking for you for forever!" The two siblings told their stories and then Jay suddenly remembered that Terra saw their mom! They set out to look for her in the Mystic Land of Cythle.
