It's been two weeks since the last time I saw him, I decided I would call him 'buck' yes I know it's very unoriginal.
Anyway,
Dan and I haven't talked that much for the last two weeks, we have been growing distanced ever since, so I occasionally go back to the freezing forest but this time I'm going to take a camera with me just to take a couple pictures.
"Come out, come out wherever you are" I whispered to myself camera ready, I walked pass so many trees I lost count like an hour ago, I kept hearing footsteps behind me but every time I look behind me I see nothing not a single footprint, I stopped in my tracks trying to figure out in what part of the forest am I in, maybe the west? No the west has a river uh, great I'm Lost in the middle of a forest.
I heard the Bushes behind me shake a little, I backed up maybe it's just a bunny?, and there i heard a snarl, that's definitely not a bunny, a mountain lion come out of the bushes, as angry as ever and hungry, of course mountain lions usually don't hunt humans most of them are more scared of us then we are of them, so this one must have been very hungry.
I'm assuming that's a female, she roared at me ready to bounce on me, I started backing up " look I know you're hungry and probably have cubs to feed but I barely have any meat on me so, maybe go eat someone else?" I quickly said shaking a bit, she roared again louder than before making trip on a log behind me " I will take that as a no." I said, what is it with me almost dieing in this forest?!, I heard heavy paws running behind me before a black shadow jumped in front of me, is that a Siberian tiger?
He looks familiar completely black fur with the stripes being blood red the tusks are the same color as the stripes and the same red eyes with the pupils being green.
Buck?
He roared louder than her, he scared but she doesn't seem to be leaving, she hissed and attacked buck trying to blind him by scratching his eyes, but buck didn't seem to be affected by her, he lifted his big paw and broke her spine, tigers are known for having the strongest paws in the feline group still standing even after they are dead, so it's probably a bad idea that she went toe to toe with a tiger.
She laid there motionless, buck turned to me " turn around and close your ears and eyes." He can talk!? " You can talk?!" I must be dreaming this can't be real! " Just do it! " I feel like blacking out, nonetheless I did as told turned around and close both of my ears are eyes now facing the tree behind me, I could faintly hear movement behind me before I a faint whining was heard I turned around and removed my hands.
Blood was on his muzzle and horns? I didn't even notice them they were a glowing neon red " why would do such a thing!? She was only feeding her cups!" I yelled he snapped his head towards me " oh?, I didn't realize we were playing the blaming game!" he yelled back his voice was thick and echoey like if we were in a cave, he walked towards me before I saw fire were set on him he come out with no injurys, this time he's a human?
He's tan skin the right side of his face was burnt I can tell it's an old injury, his Carmel honey long hair that has two tuffs sticking upwards that also looked like a saten horns, his hair almost reached to his shoulders, an eye patch on his right eye and the left eye was red, he had a blue military coat on with fur on the hood under it was a red turtleneck sweater, and bunch of golden military medals and other military stuff and a name tag ' Red Leader ' that's reassuring.
He come all the way to me and pointed at me " I wouldn't have killed her if it wasn't for your DUMBASS walking in the middle of winter near a mountain lion's den you crazy bastard!" He snapped at me " how am I supposed to know her den is here!?" I argued back, " oh, I don't know maybe because you're an animal biologist? " He said sarcastically " maybe you should quit and go back to the infaction that you call cities " he continued being sarcastic, " I can't go back, I'm lost." I said lowering my head, he was rubbing his nose bridge he took a deep breath before saying " follow me. " He lowered his voice, it's not so echoey anymore.
Time skip
We were walking for an hour now, my legs hurt so bad " my legs are tired.. can we stop for bit? " I whined. He looked at me " No " he said harshly, Jesus, since I don't know this guy's name I assume my only choice is to call him Red.
As we walked pass trees I could see faint lights in the distance we're close! finally I can lay down on my warm bed and relax after all that action.
" Alright, go on. " He looked down at me
I nodded " maybe we could meet up again? " I asked him, he thought for a moment then said " sure, next friday?" He finally responded,
" 3 PM? "
" I'm guessing you wanna see the sun rise?" He smiled.
" Yup " i smiled back.
I brought my fist in a friendly way " fist bump? " I asked, he titled his head to the side and made a confused face and looked at my fist " could you repeat that again?" He doesn't seem to know how to fist bump? "It's easy just.." i grabbed his hand and closed his fist and bumped it " see? it's not that hard." I chuckled softly, he joined in with me.
" Okay, see ya on friday. " I waved goodbye to him, " don't get your self killed, kid." He joked and saluted sarcastically and I saluted back and ran to the cabin before I entered I saw him set himself on fire and come out a black whitetail buck and return to wherever he came from.
When I went in I was jumped on by Dan, he was hugging me " where were you!? I was about to call the cops! I thought you died! You're-" he was about to give me a lecture, " whoa whoa whoa, weren't you the one who didn't wanna talk for two whole weeks? Why do you care all of a sudden?" Is he serious right now? " Because I love- " I cut him off " uh no you didn't, and we are over" I said separating the hug and walking to my room's door " but-" he was cut off again but with my door slamming shut behind me.

Fun fact : Tigons and ligers only happen in zoos as lions and tigers are both in two different countries.
