She was walking down the hallway, with her head down. A million people might have walked passed her and none of them would have seen her. She was the invisible girl that nobody saw or cared about. When she went home, her parents screamed at her and her brother ignored her. She was nobody.
He was new. On the first day he arrived at their school, and he noticed her. She was sitting under a maple tree with her eyes closed and her head down. She was beautiful to him, but as he began to notice, nobody even saw her.
This carried on for a few weeks until a day that it rained. The girl had been looking more and more lonely, but the boy never had he courage to talk to her. That day it rained, the girl had had enough. She was done being ignored, so as the boy watched on, she stepped outside into the falling drops. She stepped into a puddle. And vanished.
