My Monotone World

CH-1 The end is the beginning

The sun was scorching hot as it blazed without mercy. I am sometimes jealous of the sun for it is a star and shines without break. I felt sweat tinkle down from the back to my waist breaking me out of my thoughts, I looked down at my hand to see the grocery bag. I took out a packet of cookies,as I opened the packet I started looking from left to right if I could find any stray animal to feed.

I sighed as no signs of animal came into view so I started nibbling on the cookies and before I knew it I had to finished half of it. I started to walk away not before leaving the cookies in the entrance of an alleyway. I stopped dead in my tracks when the light turned red meaning for us to stop, only an idiot or Ozamu Dazai meaning a suicidal would. As I was about to reach for my phone,I saw a kid running after a cat. I didn't know what came over my body but all I could feel was pain and I was not standing at the side of road but rather lying on the road.

'The world shall know pain' rang in my head making me chuckle.

I heard a 'meow' come from my arms I looked down at my arms only to come in eye contact with a pair of beautiful blue feline eyes. I started to feel dizzy and the pain started to become unbearable.

I heard footsteps and people's muffled speaking. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I saw a girl crying her lavender eyes held shame, guilt,pity,just by looking at her eyes you could tell she was degrading herself.

I raised my hand despite the aching and I patted her head. I could feel a smile bloom on my face.
"Big sister is going to be alright, so don't worry."

The world started to spin real bad and I started to raid my pockets to find sweets and I found a strawberry loppipop and just like those magicians I took it out of the sleeve to make it seem it appeared out of nowhere I raised it towards her direction, she accepted it with tears in her eyes but with a grateful smile. I started feeling cold and exhausted so I closed my eyes to let them take over my body again.

I woke up grasping for air. I opened my eyes only to be blinded by the light. I let out a low groan, indicating I was irritated by the light. I took out IV drop from my hand and then my oxygen mask. The smell of the bleach was the first thing my brain could register,my eyes started roaming the room.
'So I survived huh'. My eyes stopped at the scenery outside the window, it was sunset but one thing caught my attention why did it look so animated.

The machine made a beeping sound indicating my heart was beating and I was alive as I was about to zone out the door opened revealing a boy with silver hair and liliac eyes he had a piercing in his left ear and he seemed to be wearing casual clothes that being zip-up vest layered with a t-shirt to a matching color-block set. We made a brief eye contact his eyes held relief,guilt,sadness, shame and small amount of awe. He bowed a complete 90° degrees and said in the most sincere tone I have ever heard,"Thank you for saving my sister I am forever grateful to you."

I was quite shocked he was grateful to me and it's quite rare to have someone genuinely thank you I felt warm inside me.
"Hey, no need to bow I just did what a human would do help someone."

He raised his head with a shocked expression which I ignored I patted the seat next to the bed he slowly made his way towards it and sat on it.
" Besides she was just too adorable to get hurt ya know." I said in a light-hearted tone to make sure he feels comfortable. He froze for a moment before he let out a chuckle. His appearance rang quite a few bells at the back of my head.

"I am Mitsuya Takashi Mitsuya" He introduced himself
