Me and Ryder screamed.
The guy got closer and Ryder grabbed me, making us both fall to the ground. "Ryder!" I shouted, mad at him.
He just screamed again. The guy stopped however.
"Oh you guys are just children." He said and me and Ryder looked up at him. "Yeah. We said that." He told him.
The man laughed. "Sorry my bad, thought you guys were some robbers but kids aren't robbers." He told us. "I mean we could be." Ryder mumbled.
I just told him to shut up.
"Why are you guys here then unless you are wanting to rob me?" He asked us. "We need to get something." I told him, he gave us a weird look.
"What? You can't get much from a morgue." He laughed as I stayed serious. "Our friend is in this morgue and we need the knife that killed him." I started to explain why in case it sounded a bit weird on why two teenagers wanted a knife.
"Oh alright, sure I can give you guys it but I MUST have it back." He told us. I nodded. "You'll get it back."
The man crossed his arms. "What's your friends name?" He asked and Ryder stood up. "Josh."
I just looked at him. "Yes but what's his last name? I have hundreds of Josh's in here." The morgue guy continued.
"Oh." Ryder replied. "Josh Blake or Kenneth-Blake I don't know what he'll be down as." I told him seeming how Ryders too dumb.
The man inspected a sheet of paper with all the names of dead people on there with their casket numbers. "Uhm." He said windily.
"Ah! Is it him?" He pulled out a picture of Josh, probably the worst picture ever to exist of him. "Yeah." I told him and Ryder burst out crying.
"What Ryder? Is it your hamster again?" I asked and he shook his head. "Yes partly but I can't look at Josh! I miss him!" He cried.
I rolled my eyes, jeez and I thought I missed Josh a lot. "Uh okay... anyways come with me and I'll get him." The man continued.
What does he mean by, get him?
Me and Ryder walked over to a room filled with caskets in a cage, all over the walls.
The guy looked at the number of the paper while checking the numbers on the glass until he came across the right one.
"Ah, here he is, number 70!" He said and Ryder groaned. "What is it now?" I asked him and he looked at me.
"Why couldn't he have been 69!" He cried and I rolled my eyes again. "Shut up Ryder! Your annoying me." I told him.
The guy laughed. "It goes in order of who died first, he was the 70th person to die and be buried in here."
Ryder sighed. "Oh."
The guy went over to get a key for the cabinet and walked back over. "We aren't going to see him, right?" I asked and the guy just chuckled, what does that mean?
"Aw I get to see my G! I'm gonna cry dude." Ryder clapped, I just gave him a strange look.
I love Josh but I don't want to see him dead! Who does (other than Ryder of course)!
The guy unlocked the cabinet and went to open the casket, I shut my eyes.
"Ew why's he green?" I heard Ryder asked, he's green?
"Because he's rotting, man." The morgue dude told him. "What happens when he fully rots?" Ryder asked him.
"He'll turn into a skeleton and then eventually just dust." He explained further. "Aw." Ryder pouted.
