Brittany's POV
Today is my first day of high school. Quinn (my best friend) moved away after her dad got a new job upstate which means I will be all alone starting high school. No one there by my side.

I'm not too worried since it's never been hard for me to make friends, but this time, this time it's different. I mean it's high school. The time where everyone goes partying, you could potentially find a soulmate. Well I could hardly go partying on my own could i?

"Brittany you're going to be late for your first day if you don't hurry up"
"Coming Mom" I quickly grabbed my phone. I walked down the stairs whilst trying to send a message to Quinn.

- B: Hey Q i wanted to wish you a great first day at school -

Me and Quinn haven't talked as much as I hoped since she moved but she's probably busy unpacking and settling in.

"Brittany don't text and walk down the stairs you'll hurt yourself, anyway you need to get going or you'll miss the bus"

"Sorry Mom" I shouted halfway out the door.

After 5 minutes of waiting for the bus I walk on and look for a seat. I wasn't sure if i should sit next to someone or on my own, but i wasn't ready to sit by someone yet.

I looked around the bus scanning everyone seeing if their choice in clothing could tell me anything about them.

I get to this one girl but instead of looking at her clothes I look at her face. While others may find it creepy she seemed to not think so since she turned to me and smiled whilst I was practically drooling over her. Her smile gave me butterflies. Her smile was beautiful. It was the prettiest smile I've ever seen. Her lips were soft and pink and her teeth were cleaned thoroughly. I took a moment to look into her eyes. Her eyes were big and awake. Her gorgeous dark brown eyes glistened in as the sunlight from outside hit her. She was truly the prettiest girl I've ever seen.

I must have mistook how much time I took staring at her because for what felt like a second ended up being the whole bus ride. As soon as my foot hit the concrete my nerves kicked in.
