This is just a short story I wrote for my English class one day. If people think it's good then maybe I'll add on to it, but I think I'll just leave it as it is. Enjoy :)

Chapter 1

I had a good feeling about my walk today. Nothing interesting ever happened on my walks, but it just felt like today something was going to happen. That’s how I felt for the for the first ten minutes of my walk. Happy and anticipating what was going to happen. After twenty minutes I still hadn’t come across anything remotely interesting. After half an hour I was very disappointed and was going to turn around and head back home until I saw something in the bushes it was probably nothing interesting but I still had to look. I tried not to get my hopes up since I didn’t want to be disappointed again. Once I got closer I got more excited. A stray patch of light was shining through the canopy of the trees above right onto the thing. It glinted in the light and I kneeled down to move the branches from the bush away. It was a chest.

Finally, something interesting on my walk! I studied the chest wondering how it got here.  It was beautiful, I sure wouldn’t leave something like that way out here. It wasn’t very big, maybe two feet long and a foot high. It was a mixture of black and red, the colors blending beautifully. A single gold intricate design was on the top and this was the only decoration. Without thinking I reached my hand out to touch the top of the chest. As soon as I did heat spread up through my arm and I gasped. I tried to pull my hand away from the chest but I couldn’t. the chest began to tremble and grew hotter. I started panicking but I was frozen in place. My vision changed and I was no longer seeing the forest in front of me. I was no longer me.
