Chapter 6

Sam's POV

I was talking to Caleb about why I wasn't at school the day before. "So you were just sick?" "Yep." I said as I was getting my stuff from my locker. "Well I got to get to class, so I will see you later." "Ok see ya." As i was getting the rest of my stuff I heard someone call my name. "Sam!" I turned to see a smiling Constantine coming down the hall. "Hey Constantine." I closed my locker. "Are you heading to class?" Constantine asked. "Yeah was about to." I looked up at him into his hazel eyes that a bit more green to them unlike Cody's, which had a bit of gold around the edge. "Well let's go together because we do have first period together." He said smiling. "We do?" "Yeah I sit in the back maybe that's why you haven't noticed me before."

Constantine's POV

As I was talking to Sam I was looking at his features and noticed how cute he was. Not just because of his big blue eyes or his height that makes me tower over him. Its his expressions that make him cute like when he gets embarrassed or when he starts thinking. "Hey how about we get to class?" "Oh yeah!" I grabbed his hand as we walked to class and out of the corner of my eye I saw him blushing.

When we got to class I gave his hand a squeeze before walking into the classroom. He smiled when I sat next to him instead of in the back. It was felt nice to make him smile.

Cody's POV

Throughout the day I would take every chance I could to talk to sam, but for some reason this girl 'Rachael' would pop up and get in the way. That was most of the time near his locker. "Hey Sam!" I hear Rachael yell. "Hi Rachael." She then clings to his arm, which makes me want to claw her eyes out. I know I'm being possessive, but could you blame me she makes my mate uncomfortable. "Hey Rachael." I try to get her attention. Sh looks up at me. "Oh hi Cody!" "Hi, umm what are you doing?" "Oh I was going to ask Sam if he still hasn't been asked to prom. Have you Sammy?" He looked nervous and said "Yeah I've been asked by a bunch of girls, but I declined to going to prom with all of them." "Aww why?" "Its because I don't want to go with them." I looked at him and smiled at him. "Well Ok then." "Hey Rachael when is prom?" "This Friday, which is in a few days." "Thanks. Hey Sam you need a ride home?" "Actually yeah I don't really feel like walking home." "Well then let's go find Constantine and go home." I smile and Sam makes Rachael let go, so we can go find my brother.

Constantine's POV

I saw my brother and our mate walking towards me, so I wondered what's up. "Hey Cody. Hey Sam. What's up?" "Hey I offered Sam a ride home." We both glance at Sam who was scratching the back of his neck nervously. "Yeah no problem I'd be honored to give Sam a ride." I smile and I get Sam to laugh at little at what I said. "Awesome! Come on Sam!" My brother grabs Sam's hand and races to my car. "Wow he sure can run when he wants to."

On the way to Sam's house we tell Sam a little bit about ourselves and vice versa. "Well I guess tomorrows special." "Why's that?" I ask. "Tomorrow's my birthday, so that's when I'm suppose to shift and speak to my wolf." He seemed really excited about it. He wasn't the only one.

After we dropped him off me and my brother were excited about setting up for Sam's birthday. We were smiling when we walked into the pack house, so our father wondered what was up. "Why are you two so happy?" We looked at each other and then answered. "Our mates birthday is tomorrow." "Oh that's right! His name is Sam isn't it?" We both nodded. "Well I promise I promised that we would be there because it will be held here." "Here?!" We said in unison. "Of course. He can't shift at his house." "That's true." I said.

Next day / Sam's POV

" Mom where are we going?" I asked as we turned on a dirt path in the woods. "We are going to the pack house." "Pack house?" "Yes its where the Alpha and the rest of the pack live." "So like a pack of wolves?" "Yes." She didn't tell me anything else till we got there. I was in awe at the sight of the 'pack house' it looked like a mansion, but a little bit smaller. As we were walking up to the front door it felt way to quiet. "Mom where is everyone?" "I'm not sure." She knocked on the door, but no answer. We opened the door and walked in, but nothing stirred. "Hello?" Then the lights flicked on and everyone jumped out yelling "Happy birthday!" Cody and Constantine both hugged me, which surprised me. My mother was giggling and I could feel my face getting red from their close proximity. "Wow! I can't believe how red you are!" Cody looked at my face closely. "I-i'm just embarrassed by all of this." "Well I think it's something more than that." Constantine says sweetly before grabbing my hand. I knew I looked like a tomato by their was blushing. I heard chuckling coming from Cody as we walked further into the house. "I can't believe this many people live here!" Constantine chuckled and said " Not all of them live in this house, but our family does and so does the betas family." "The beta?" I questioned. "Yeah he's right there with his daughter and wife." He pointed to the beta family who waved and I waved back.
