Here's a fun little story for you all.
When I was eight, I was diagnosed with PANDAS. About three years later I was having my second IVIG when this boy about my age comes into the infusion room. The doctors introduce our families and tell us that he's having the same treatment. After getting over the shy stage we started playing games with each other to pass the time. Yeah cool, whatever...
Then fast forward to my seventh-grade back-to-school picnic. This guy, who looks awfully familiar comes up to me and asks if I want to throw a football around. Yup, same kid. We reconnected immediately and as you can probably see where this is going, were attached by the hip for the next three years. Bound together through family and medical issues we hung off each other like an extra limb. Although we never dated, we went on plenty of unofficial dates and we were always on the "are we friends, are we more?" line.
Then freshman year of high school, his family moves across the country. I thought we could just carry our friendship through facetime and texts...but as Harry's experienced, the texts kept getting shorter and the calls less frequent. It was a couple months later I began to write him letters. I haven't written any recently but yeah, still think about him, still write about him, and still wonder how things might have ended up if he didn't move.
So...if you were ever wondering where the hell the inspiration for this story came from, there you have it. Inspiration was also drawn from a variety of songs which I'll put into a playlist soon.
Thank you to the lovely readers who have joined me on this journey. I hope it made you laugh, smile, cry. I know it did for me. It was a joy to write and gave me peace during rough weeks. If you have any questions, don't be shy to talk with me. I love hearing from you! Now I'm off to go fix plot holes and edit the shit out of this :)
Once again, thank you <3
And for the last time,
All the love, Minze ♡
