Third POV.
"Hello, sir. How are you today?" A police man says, paying attention to the inside of the apartment instead of the person who opened the door.
"I'm good! How are you?" Phil says, loud and a bit awkward.
"Good, great, grand. You- Uh, you've heard the news lately, son?" The police man looks into Phil's eyes.
"Yeah! Yeah, I have. It's, uh, it's interesting!" Phil wipes his forehead, sweating slightly from the pressure being put on him.
"Yeah, definitely. The large, mysterious, car crash; the robberies." The cop rocks on him heels, same as Phil. "You're not afraid?"
"Well, not much, no but I have guest over, I sh-" As Phil grabs the door to close it, the police man holds his hand on it, stopping it from closing, cutting him off too.
"Guest? Mind if I come in?" He pushes himself into the apartment, moving Phil aside.
"Sure, come right in!" Phil says loudly; hopping for everyone in the living room to hear.
Shuffling comes from where the guest are. Whispers and such spreading through the home.
Large steps being heard from the cop.
As the police man gets to the top of the steps, revealing the living room, it shows the television turned off. Dan with a beer bottle in hand, Marzia sitting on the couch, phone and purse nearby.
Felix and Jollie out of sight.
"Hey there, fellas." The police man greets himself to the people in the room.
"Hey there, sir!" Dan says with a smile. He looks at Phil, mouthing the words "No accent?", considering that the 'Police Man' has an American accent.
"Y'all heard about the robbery? You know, and the- the big car crash?" He says, turning to Marzia.
"Yeah. It's pretty scary." Marzia nods.
"Well, y'all better stay saf-" the man stops his words, being cut off by a thud of noise across the hall.
He points in that direction, "mind if I take a look in there, boy?" He asks, looking towards Phil.
"Actually, I do mind. I-It's my room, I'd like my priv-"
"Nonsense, I'll just do my business and be on my way." The cop walks in that direction. Dan, Phil, and Marzia can't do anything to stop him without acting so suspicious.
"Wait!" Marzia says, quite loudly. She runs in front of the man, between him and the door. "You're a guest too! Please, allow me to open this door for you!" She says intentionally loud enough for Felix and Jollie to hear through the door they were hiding in.
"Why, thank you, miss." The man says, pocketing his hands.
Marzia slowly turns the door nob with her sweaty palms, revealing a room with bright bedding wear and small knick-knacks here and there. The room itself was dark. Lights were off, moonlight barely up.
The man walks through the door. Suspicious of the odd noise.
The noise of a heavy item has echoed around the room. Everyone but the police man feared it was their friend.
"Shit." Came a small sound of a person, in purposely loud.
The closet door opens, revealing two people.
If they thought they were screwed with the noise, what were they thinking till now?
"See? I told you it smelt like a hamster in there!" Felix says enthused.
"You were right!" Jollie says smiling.
They both look at the big bodied man in a police uniform in the room of their friends'.
"Excuse me, did I interrupt anything?" The police man said with an odd look, grinning slightly.
