Chapter 15

~Kylie's pov~

This past week has been hell. Mom and Alice have been visiting my step father in the hospital every night. So I spent most of my dinners alone. One night the guys came over and we had dinner together. At least I still had my friends when my family abandoned me.

"Hey" Celia comes from behind and scares me. It makes me shiver. "You good?" She says with her arm on my shoulders. "Yea I'm fine" I say not looking at her.

"So what's up" i say finally looking at her.
"It's the dance tomorrow!!" She says smile and trying to stop herself from jumping up and down with joy.
I chuckle at her excitement.
"Really? I've seem to have forgotten" I say sarcastically. She rolls her eyes.
"Anyway, I want to know if you and khloe were  up for a sleepover and then tomorrow we could get ready together"
"Sure I don't see why not" I give her a small smile.

"Okay good" the bell rings. "Shit I'm late for class" and she runs off. It was my free so I didn't bother.

I normally go to the art center in my frees but I wasn't in the mood today. So I decided to go the field.

When I get there no one was there. I was actually relieved. This week has really done a number on me trying to keep up with school and my mom still being cold towards me. I go to the rugby post and set my bag down. I sit on the grass and just fall back.

I look up at the blue sky and the clouds. I can see the clouds moving. I take a deep breath. I stare at the clouds making different shapes.
Lmao that cloud looks like a dog.

I close my eyes. And take in the fresh air. when I open my eyes and Enzo is standing over me. "Jesus! Enzo" I jump up.

"You good?" He asks sitting next to me.
My face in my hands I look up at him "Yea" that some what felt like a lie.

He looked at me for another minute until saying. "Okay... I wanted to ask do you have a date?"

Shit I forgot about our deal. I kinda feel bad that I do have one. " Yea, I do"

A frown grew on his face. Great now I feel worse. "Do you?" He didn't answer for a second. "oh yea I do, just didn't want to leave you hanging if you didn't" I gave a small smile and nodded my head.

I lay back on the grass and let out a breath. Enzo lays next to me. He looks at me but I don't look at him. "You sure your good?"

"Yea just a little tired" is all I say.

——————After school——————

"Hey are you come home with us?" Celia asks walking with me into the parking lot. "Yea but we are gonna have to stop at my house to get my things" she just gives me a look. Like I'm telling the wrong person this.

"Your coming with us today?" Damon says sounding annoyed and upset. "Don't be too happy" I say sarcastically. He rolls his eyes.

We all get in the car and leave school. "Oh hey we need to stop at my house and get my things " Damon looks at his watch. Where's he in a hurry too? "Fine but I'll drop you off and pick you up later" Celia looks at him confused and so do I. "Have something planned" She say.

"Uhh yea my mom needs me to get some stuff"

"Why didn't you tell me I would have brought my car"

"No it's okay" he say then put his hand in hers. Ahh this a such a parent moment.

When we get to my house I jumped out and go to Celias window "so I'll text you when I'm ready"

"okay, you sure you don't want me to stay with you?" I look at Damon and can tell he has something planned for the both of them. I smile to them

"No I'm good. See you later" I say and walk towards my house.

When I walk in my mom is screaming. Jolly she's home. I walk in to the kitchen and grab a bottle of water before heading up to my room. When I walk in my room is a mess. What the hell. I go into Alice's room. "What happened?"

"Mom was looking for something of dads and found ur dead phone. Charged it, cause she has no life and found a bunch of messages from this guy name... Luke no, uhh Liam..."

"Leo." I say slowly in a whisper.

"What was that?"

"Nothing"

"What was mom even looking for of your dads? And why would it be in my room?!"

She just shrugs.
Ugh. I walk out of her room and go into mine. I'll go beg for my phone later. Right now I need to get ready and pack my bag.

After I come out out of the shower. I put on jeans and a baggy T-shirt. And start to pack my prom things and clothes for tonight. When my mom comes barging in.

"How nice of you to finally come home"
I look up at her for a second

"hi Ma"  I act like nothings wrong.

"Who's Leo?" She asks. Okay so we getting to the point then.

"His just a friend taking me to the dance"
She doesn't say anything, just looks at me. She doesn't look very convinced. But it passes.

"I need you to take Alice to the Dance tomorrow"

"But-"

"No buts" she says and walks out.

Ugh. I'll have to ask damon if we can pick her up on the way back. Great he's going to be even more annoyed with me. Meh he's always annoyed with me tbh

I finish packing my bag. And start to clean my room when I find my phone under the mess. I stop cleaning and messaged Celia. But her phone seems to be off. Oh well I go back to cleaning. When I'm done I sit on my bed, bags packed and open Netflix.

I put on a kdrama and just lay there.

I think I fell asleep. I wake up to the sound of Alice screaming. Ughh. I'm too lazy to get out of bed. I look for my phone to check the time. I put my body and see Celia hovering over me with this big smile on her face.

"Jesus Christ! Why is everyone scaring me today, God." I sit up.

She jumps in bed with me.

"Damon and I went on our first date."

"And?" I ask while smile grows on my face.

"it was so cute. We drove to the beach, and when we got there we was a blanket set up already with glasses and food. Oh I loved it so much. He even asked me to the dance again. We went up to the light house and on the beach it was written 'dance?' in candles."

Im not gonna lie it kinda hurt to see that she had found someone that loved her so much that they wrote in candles to ask her out. But I was happy for her I just hope one day I find that.

I put my head on her shoulder. "See I told
You! You guys are so cute together" she doesn't say anything cause she knows I'm right.

Damon walks into my room.
"Uh hello can we go!"
I smile.

"Why someone jealous?"
Celia laughs.

"Common let's get going"

"Yeah let me get my things"

I grab my things. Before I left the house I screamed

"bye mom, bye Alice. see you tomorrow" and close the door.
