the wedding we really wanted

Maya and carina have been married for 5 years now and after their first wedding which ended in maya receiving her demotion she now however has he captaincy jobs back. maya and carina decided to renew their vows in a bigger wedding. They also have their baby boy Lias Alfonso Deluca-Bishop who is now 7 months old.

Carina pov
As I'm sitting in my hotel room starting
Staring at my dress I think about the last 6 and a half years that me and maya have been together and then bringing Lias into the world. To say I was surprised when maya said she wanted to carry was an understatement I mean she wasn't even sure if she wanted kids. I was lost in my thought when Teddy, Amelia and Jo walked startling me with a tray of champagne and I was getting ready. My dad was walking me down the asile. Just after me and maya got married my dad reached out saying he had reached out for help and that he has not had an episode since and I must say, he is a great nono to Lias

Maya pov
I'm standing in my office bunk getting into my class A for a proper firefighter wedding because we decided to do a firehouse wedding when I here a knock on my door and in came Vic, Andy and Mason just following behind with Lias in his arms babbling and slapping his hands on masons face so when he saw me he reached straight for me and I was quick to pick up my baby boy. Who had blonde hair and blue eyes like mine but a beautiful olive skin just like carinas. As I'm standing their with my boy in my arms I ask Andy and Vic to leave so I can talk 1 on 1 with my brother who by the way is an amazing uncle.
"You know I'm really proud of you Mason" I said
"Thanks sis. I'm really proud of you too for getting away from dad and finding love and happiness in your life and I want you to know that"
"I'm so glad you are clean and healthy" I said
"You know I could thank you for that because even though when we found each other again knowing that I had a family and an amazing nephew to care about it really helped me" mason said
Mason had been clean for over 4 years now and had no slip ups or urges since then.

Flashback 6 months
As I walk into the hospital to get Lias from daycare he normally stays with me but I had appointments today so carina took him to daycare andCarina from work I walk into the ER to see some of Carinas friends who are also now my friends I see on the patient board
M.bishop, male, aged 32, ex 3
All those details match my brother and I see that the curtain is open and there he is just sitting their with a cut above his head. I ran over
"Maya" Mason said suprised
"Mason" I replied being at a loss for words
"I went to your station to get back in touch with you but they said you were still on maternity leave. I didn't even know you wanted kids" He said
"To be honest neither did I but my wife Carina is an OB and she always talked about pregnancies and it sounded magical so I wanted to give it a shot. So we welcomed Lias Alfonso Deluca-Bishop into the world 1 months ago." I said
"Anyway enough about me what are you doing here."
" Fell of a ladder painting a mural in my house"
"No suprise it was through your art then." We talked for a while just catching up when the curtain flew open and carina was there with a terrified look and Lias in his carrier

Carina pov
I finish work and get Lias from day care so I head down to the ER to say goodbye to Teddy. When I get there I look at the board and I notice details similar to mayas I didn't even look at the sex so I walk as fast as I can keeping Lias safe in his carrier and open the curtain to see maya on a chair and who I assume is Mason on the bed and a huge weight is lifted of my shoulders.
"Carina this is my brother mason. Mason this is my wife Carina and our little boy Lias."
"Lovely to meet you Mason"
"Lovely to meet you too Carina."
"Oh My God your baby is adorable he has your eyes Maya." Mason says
Maya stays a bit longer and her and Mason decide to stay in touch
End of flashback

Carina pov
As I walk down the aisle arms linked to my dad I see maya in her amazing class A and Lias in an adorable suit in Masons arms. I get to the top and meet Maya. We re say our vows and the rest of the ceremony takes place and then the party begins.

Maya pov
As I'm standing with 19 and Carina is over with her Dr friends I look back at how far I've come with the team
"Remember when you said monogamy was for the week" Andy said
"And you would take a day off to avoid kids If there was a party or a visit" Dean said
"It took you ages to warn up to that safe surrender baby when the RV crashed into the station" Travis said
"What can I say carina has changed me for the better and I couldn't be happier."
The night came to an end and everyone headed home Mason said he would watch Lias for the night which he did regularly if me and Carina were working nights so he had a whole room and toys for him
"This really was a great night" carina said
"This really was the wedding we really wanted"
