I felt the wind slow its torrential attack against us and pulled my face out of Patch's back to peek at our surroundings. A couple yards ahead lay the motel Patch had booked for our little getaway. It was a quaint little place that had the old rustic cottage look about it. Built in the middle of lush rolling green hills that looked like something right out of a book. The sun was starting to set, swathing the building in lovely shades of orange and red. The vines crawling up the side of the building showed that whoever owned this place took tender care of their plant life. We came to a stop in one the makeshift parking spaces in the grass on a side of the driveway. This was an England Hotel for sure. Patch turned the bike off and swung his leg up over the seat leaving me to tilt slightly as the bike's full weight shifted to rest on the kickstand. His jet black hair tussled from the wind and his suit flared back. He almost looked like a mafia boss. He turned his eyes to me, still resting on the bike, a sudden lustful darkness clouding them.
"You have no idea how beautiful you look right now," he stated as he sauntered over close to me bending his head to kiss my forehead.
My heart fluttered at the touch of his lips and his hands on me. A blush crept up my cheeks at the compliment. He began to lead a trail of kisses from my forehead down to my cheek, then neck. I tilted my head so he could more easily reach the bare skin he hadn't yet touched with his lips. A small groan came out of my mouth as he began to suck on the sensitive skin by my jaw. Then my brain snapped back on.
"Patch we should stop, we're out in the open."
"Stop this?" He said sucking harder on my neck making my mouth drop open in pleasure. "Or this?" Patch moved his hands to my thighs, brushing his fingertips under the hem of my dress.
At that, a tiny gasp escaped my mouth. My senses on high alert as he touched me tenderly. My brain unable to form coherent thoughts as he continued his onslaught of kisses and touches. His hand dared to go a little higher, thumb rubbing back and forth gently across my skin. I felt like I was on fire, every single nerve in my body was electrified at his touch. As his hand moved closer to my panties I began breathing heavier, but this time not out of pleasure. This was too much, he was everywhere at once, I felt trapped. My breath began coming out of me at a rapid pace as the fear and anxiety began to kick in. Out, I needed out right now. Patch pulled back sensing my panic. He placed his hands on my shoulders and searching my face as my eyes darted anywhere but at his face.
"Talk to me angel, what's going on?"
"I-I can't breathe," I manage to push out between quick breaths.
"Cmere," Patch said reaching towards me slowly, gripping me under my arms and lifting me off the bike, light as a feather. He placed me on the ground with my head between my legs. "Close your eyes and try taking slow deep breaths"
His voice works to calm me down as I practice taking one deep breath in after another and slowly my heart rate begins to return to normal as the anxiety and fear fade into the background. Patch sits down next to me, pulling me onto his lap and stoking my hair while my head is nuzzled into his neck.
"It's okay baby" he whispers over and over. Planting kisses every once in a while. I can feel his muscles rippling as he squeezes me close to him as if he is afraid I'll slip through his fingers.
"I'm sorry," I whisper. He must think that I am so stupid for overreacting like that when we were simply kissing. I'm sure he had probably slept with plenty of women in his years possessing Nephilim. I was naïve to think that I had been the only one. A short burst of jealousy ran through me, even though I knew that he was mine for the rest of forever. The idea of anyone having looked at Patch that way made me seethe.
"Angel you have nothing to be sorry for. Tell me what happened."
"I don't know. We were kissing and it was great," I blushed as I said this and saw a smirk spread across Patch's face, "but all of a sudden it was getting more intense and I felt trapped and overwhelmed and it was scary."
"So it was good?" Patch asked raising an eyebrow playfully.
"Of course it was good you fool," I giggled pushing on his chest.
Patch's face sobered a bit before he spoke."I didn't mean to push you Angel. I want to take my time cherishing every part of you. There is never any rush and if you want to sleep on opposite sides of the room from me I'm okay with that too. I have everything I need just knowing that you are mine and I am close to you."
I sat for a moment just stunned at his honest confession, warming my heart.
"It's not that at all, it's just that I felt like I lost control and it freaked me out."
"I understand, control is important to you Nora and it has been from the moment I met you all stuck up in Bio. So how about this, I let you be in control of the situation and anything that becomes overwhelming you can stop."
I nodded my head, not knowing how it was possible for such a loving human being to exist.
"Well we should probably get checked in."
The sun was falling behind the horizon and with it the warm temperatures of the day. Patch nodded in agreement, slipping his suit jacked off to gently lay it around my bare shoulders. Reluctantly I got up off of Patch's lap. Honestly there was no place I would rather be but it was getting chilly fast and I would much rather be taking a hot shower, especially after the long wedding day. I grabbed my phone and wallet and intertwined my fingers with Patch's as we walked towards the quaint motel.
