~All the leaves are brown and the skies are gray~Adeline was in the middle of reading her book laying in her hammock in the treetops. Just now getting immersed in her murder mystery she had recently picked up. Her phone suddenly started buzzing to life. She had picked up the phone and when she had read the contact 'Rose', momentarily saddened by the fact she hadn't read it in so long. That was forgotten when the blonde on the other side muttered her name. Snapping back into the call Adeline spoke back "what can I do for my favorite blondie?" Rosalie had then proceeded to inform her oldest friend of the current outbreak that was going on in the northwest pertaining to a girl by the unfamiliar name of Isabella, Adeline's mouth gaping open upon hearing the details. The mutual silence of shock resonating between the pair was soon broken by the brunette. "Volturi?" was the only word she could seem to come up with, which came out as a question. "We're still not entirely sure about who's behind it" was Rosalie's response. As the conversation went on it had been settled Adeline would help the family out with their cause. "When is the earliest you could be here?" "I'm on my way."
Adeline very quickly packed up her space and returned to her cottage to pack her bags. She threw her few items into her bag and started her truck. She didn't live too far away, up in the thick forest of the harsh Candian wilderness. She hauled herself into the lifted pickup and quickly started her journey. It wouldn't take long with the three-digit numbers displayed on the dash. As she had pulled into the long driveway surrounded by trees to the beautiful glass house. The truck door slammed hard, the sound going through the thick walls of the house. Adeline had to admit as she was walking up the massive door her nerves started to rise. She hadn't seen them all in so long as well as some new additions she's only heard word of. Those feelings were quickly pushed down, she was tougher than that.
Adelines fist had raised to knock, before she could even make contact with her knuckles the door had been opened for her. Edwad stood at the door with a beautiful brunette woman by his side. It had been so long since she had seen him, but he had looked the same this time just very tense. Nonetheless she had pulled him in for a side hug. "Adeline, thank you for coming on such short notice" Edward had spoke quietly with a small smile. "Always happy to help, just don't go digging with whole physic shit this time" her comment was met with a small chuckle from the bronze haired boy. "No promises" Adeline paid him no mind as she had turned her eyes to the girl on his left side. She was gorgeous and her scent would've tempted a weaker one of her kind.
"Bella" the brunette had stuck her hand out awkwardly to Adeline for a handshake, which Adeline had complied to.
"Nice to meet officially meet you, heard you've been causing a little bit of trouble around these parts"
"Yeah guess it seems that way huh? I'm sorry if it was bad time to make you come out here"
"Oh no worries I couldn't be happier than to get rid of some rabid newborns, they act like dogs who have been starved for the past 3 Months"
"Dogs huh? Funny"
"Yeah" Adeline took a confused pause in which she looked over at Edward who didn't look very amused "funny, anyway do you happen to know where Emmett is haven't seen that man child since the 90's?"
"I think he's inside with Jasper and Rosalie"
Adeline furrowed an eyebrow at the name but didn't question it too much as Rosalie had explained they had asked for some help with the newfound army up north, so she headed inside. "Mett, Rose" the brunette was absolutely elated to see what she considered her family because of how long they've been close; Emmett had obviously been over the moon as well because as soon as she had walked in Adeline had been suffocated in the biggest bear hug she had ever experienced. "I missed you tiny" the buff giant had whispered in her ear "Missed you too Mett" she softly spoke back. As soon as she was back on the ground, she saw a head of blonde hair she could recognize anywhere.
