They say that there's someone in the world for everyone. That everyone on earth has a soulmate.
I, however, used to disagree. There was seemingly no one out there for me. No one that could be deemed The One for me. However, if you told me the above sayings now, I would laugh and tell you it's somewhat true.

All my life, I've been accident prone, having many brushes with death, but happy go lucky. Sadly, I can't say the same about my love life, but we'll get to that later.

When I was born, I was so weak and sickly, the doctors didn't think I would survive the night. Imagine their shock when the next morning I was right as rain, almost as if I was never ill at all.

Then, when I was two, I was attacked in the park by a stray dog. The dog scratched and bit me, but within a week, my wounds had completely healed, save a few scars.

On my seventh birthday, my mother was in the kitchen baking a cake for my party. She warned me not to go in there and mess around, but being a natural curious show off, of course I went in there. I thought it would be a great idea to open the oven door... BOOM! A huge gas explosion came from within the oven. But luckily I was distracted by the cat and moved out of the way of the blast just in time. Suffice to say, I was banned from the kitchen for a few years.

But there was one incident in particular I cannot explain. I was 16, just coming home from college with my mates. We were dicking around in the street, not paying much attention. I walked out into the road without looking when suddenly I was hit by a speeding car. I felt my body colliding with the vehicle, bones crunching, limbs twisting. The last thing I heard was the driver explaining he was going nearly 90 miles per hour before darkness consumed me.
I woke up a few minutes later, all the pain from just moments before was gone. Just like that. That crash should have killed me, but it was like nothing ever happened.

After that, I simply concluded that I have a guardian angel and I hoped she was hot.

My love life was pretty much the same. I've always been good looking, I'm not going to deny it. In school and college, all the girls and even some of the boys wanted me. I could had anyone I wanted, but I was fussy.
Everyone I ever went out with ended badly. Either we just didn't click like I thought we would, the sex was crap, they'd break my heart some how or all of the above.
I eventually hit rock bottom. I was lonely, depressed and drinking my body weight in vodka nearly every day.
Eventually, when I was 23, I met two amazing guys called Shane and Drew. They found me one nightly stumbling out of a bar and took me home. Shane even left his number on a Post-It note in case I needed someone to talk to. Over the next two years, we build a strong friendship. They even convinced me to pursue my dreams of being a music teacher!
So here I am, teaching and even giving private guitar lessons. Sure, I'm still lonely, but I've got plenty of time, right?

As I was leaving the classroom one Friday night, I swear I saw a shadow in the corner of my eye. I turned around to see who it was, but they were gone... Weird.
The next thing I knew, the fire alarm was blasting my ear drums into mush and thick, black smoke was filling my lungs. I coughed and spluttered as I felt my body hit the floor with a dull thud. Soon, I felt a pair of strong yet cold arms lift me up and carry me outside. I looked up to see who my saviour was, but was greeted with a long black hood covering their face. I snuggled close to their soft chest before losing consciousness...

AN: Ooooh.

Hey there!
Just a little story idea I had based off of a dream and a very strange conversation with a friend.
I don't think this story will be as long as my others but it'll be good, trust me.

Xx
