Ch. 17

"I'm so lucky to have you babe."

"Thanks honey." Maya said and kissed Bria.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too." Maya said and gave her a loving smile. The two hugged and Sarah walked into the room.

"Oh. My. God. Sarah! Your hair! It's gone!" Bria screamed.

"I'm paying an homage to Joey."

"Aw. That's really sweet." Maya said

"I love it." Bria said.

"Same. It suits you."

"Thanks." Sarah said and smiled.

Sarah walked out of the room and saw riley and Carly having a sign language conversation.

"Hi Sarah. I love your hair." Carly said.

'Hello Sarah. I also love your hair.' riley signed.

"Thank you ladies."

"It looks exactly like joey's."

"Yeah that's the point."

"I kinda figured that."

Maya and Bria walked into the living room.

"DAD WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"

"OK!" He answered.

Maya gave bria the keys.

"Why am I driving? You usually drive."

"I don't know how to drive a stick shift and this is the car we're stuck with."

"Fine." Bria said. She started up the car and they began driving to the mall.

Maya heard a song on the radio

"Turn that up. That is the jam."

Bria smiled and turned up the volume. Fifth harmony's sledgehammer blasted through the speakers.

They got to the mall and they were greeted by Bria's old ''friends"

"Oh look who it is guys."

"BRI!!!" Chrissy screamed and jumped into Bria's arms.

"IVE MISSED YOU SOOOOO MUCH!"

"Yeah missed you too Chrissy. Get off me now." Bria said.

"Nathan."

"Brianna and Maya."

"Nate." Maya said flatly giving him a death glare.

"Brianna." Jamie said without looking at her.

"Jamie." Bria said awkwardly.

"Where have you been?" Chrissy asks.

"Homeschool."

"Why?"

"Because her whack job mom beat up on her and her siblings." Nate said.

Maya glared at him. Bria did the same.

"Shut up Nathan. Stay away from us."

"Why?"

"Because I have this special little document called a restraining order. And it states if you stand within a 100 mile radius of us I have the liberty to call the police aka my dad and you can get arrested." Maya said with a smirk.

"I have to go. I guess. See ya." He gave Jamie a kiss on the forehead and left.

"So you and Nate?"

"Yeah."

"I'm gonna go. See you guys whenever."

"Bye bri." Chrissy said.

"See ya around clown." Jamie said.

The two girls left and came home. A girl with long brown hair and blue eyes sat on the couch.

"STEVIE?!"

"MAYA!!" The girl exclaimed. She gave her a hug.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to visit you riley and dad."

Bria kinda waved awkwardly at Stevie.

"Oh. Maya. Who's this?"

"This is bria. She's my girlfriend."

"She's pretty. I'm Stevie. Maya's older sister."

"I thought you said you only had one sister Maya."

"It's complicated. Stevie is my half sister."

"Oh. That makes sense."

"Yeah."

"So a lot has happened since you've been gone."

"Obviously. You have a girlfriend. Riley's mute and dad is.. Still dad."

"And Bria's sisters live here now."

"Oh. I heard about that. I'm sorry for your loss kid." She said speaking to bria.

"Thanks." Bria said.
