We just watched as the soldiers that survived Bruz and Kruk ran away screaming like a bunch of little girls. Maybe I should have told the both of them to hold back a little bit, but they did their job so I can't complain.

???: "U-h Excuse me?

I was pulled out of my thoughts from a voice from one of the villagers, it looked like he was their leader.

Village Chief: "Why did you two come here."

Momonga and I looked at each other and then back at the chief.

Momonga: "We could not stand by and let innocent people be slaughtered, call it a moral obligation."

The villagers start to bicker amongst themselves before Momonga continued.

Momonga: "Please, be at ease, this village is under our protection. You no longer have to be scared." 

Momonga began to walk towards them, but the villagers didn't seem convinced by his words. I walked up to him and whispered.

Y/n: "Let me try something."

I then looked at the scared villagers.

Y/n: "We don't do this work for free, so we expect payment for keeping you safe."

That seemed to get them to calm down and trust us a little bit.

Y/n: *As I suspected, they don't seem to suspect anything as long as they think we're doing this for financial gain. They'd react negatively if they saw our true faces, even though it was pretty common back in YGGDRASIL. Mommonga is gonna have to use a memory wiping spell on those girls later.*

After we requested money from the village to raise any suspicion, but we were still lacking in information about this world. The village chief and his wife believed our story about being two lonely travelers who were quit skilled at magic, but knew nothing of the world around them.

Y/n: *I wonder what kind of people use magic in this world that these people would so easily trust us? Even though i'm wearing a Nazgul mask they all just drop their guard because we claim to be magic casters. Even a noob can get this mask by completing the first stage of the Shadow wars.*

We learned the gold we have from YGGDRASIL has some value, but at the very least it was worthless here. After that we asked about the surrounding territories, there are 3 realms, Nazarick and this village known as Carn are part of the Re-Estize kingdom on the other side of the border is the kingdom that runs along the great mountain range that runs North and South, The Baharuth Empire. The two counties are at each others throats for years and usually battle at the open plains near the capital city of E-Rantel. Lastly there was the Slain Theocracy which was located to the south. We were told that the capital city of E-Rantel used to belong to an independent faction known as the Easterlings, but after the King of Re-Estize declared war against them they were wiped out and banished from their city. Now they are just wandering aimlessly around the area of their city, waiting for the day that they could take back their home and crush the Kingdom of Re-Estize. Some of them even became Mercenaries to fight in wars for the Baharuth Empire. This got me intrigued, but I can't lose focus.
