It was a hot summer's day, I just finished opening up the windows and turning on the fans as it was way too hot in my grandparents' house. While the rest of the children of the world among me were either in pools splashing each other or were at the overcrowded waterparks, I decided to curl up with a nice book.
"Wait....is this gonna be another one of those long love stories?" My best friend of only God knows how long Nikki said interrupting me like a sudden record scratch.
"Yesss." Was my only reply.
"Awhhh shit. Lemme exit stage left and go get my seat in the audience." My other best friend Deja said playfully rolling her eyes.
*clears throat* Now, like I was saying....
"KEOMI"
My grandmother walked inside my room interrupting me out of my thoughts. "Go outside. Go get some fresh air." I rolled my eyes in the thought of not being able to finish my book and put on my shoes as she walked out. I decided to catch the streetcar to the park.Guess I could tell y'all a little about myself while I walk outside to Satan bouncing his ass on the world currently.
My name is Keomi Janai. I'm currently in high school. Side note: Whoever created that hell clearly wanted to be dragged out to the streets and shot fr fr. I keep my grades up and love reading books in my free time when I'm not doing homework or helping my grandparents around the house. Guess you can call me a nerd I guess or whatever. Anywhooo back to the story.
1:45 pm
I decided to bring my book with me. Who gonna pull me away from this book when it just getting juicy? Nobody. That's who.
I put the book away after I stepped off the streetcar. I waved bye to the driver as I walked off into the park. I figured I would sit on my favorite branch and finish the book.
As I'm walking closer to the tree, I see somebody SITTING IN MY SPOT. Oh, nahhh he gotta bounce.
