"You know, we have the day off, why don't we do something fun for once?" Eren asked from his place at the table. Armin looked up from the book he was reading. "Like what?" he asked. "I don't know. Something like hide and seek or something," Eren replied. Connie suddenly got up from his chair. "Capture the flag!" he announced.
Jean grinned. "That sounds fun! I haven't played that game in a while, so I think it would be nice to play."
"I'm in too!" said Sasha. Mikasa shrugged her shoulders. "Sounds nice. I'll play too." Reiner clapped Bertholt on the back. "We'll play as well. I like a challenge." Christa looked at Ymir with a sweet gaze. "What about you Ymir? I myself think I'm gonna play!" Ymir hugged Christa close. "I'll play too," she said quickly.
"Did I hear something about capture the flag?"
"Oh! Um, hi Squad Leader Hanji..." Armin said with unease. Hanji waved back at him excitedly. "I wouldn't mind playing with you guys. What do you say?"
"Aren't you a little too old to be playing capture the flag?"
Hanji rolled her eyes. "I won't actually be playing silly. I'll just be making sure no one gets hurt or breaks the rules! And, I could bring a certain someone with me~"
Jean narrowed his eyes. "Who?"
"Squad leader (First),"
The cadets buzzed excitedly. You were a favorite among the trainees, mostly because you did fun activities while training, gave them breaks, and let's girls who were having 'girl issues' be excused from training. "Well? How about it?" Hanji asked. Eren nodded in agreement. "I'd think it'd be cool if she came along to play."
"Meet us at the giant sycamore tree outside the training field," Eren stated. Giving him a thumbs up, Hanji turned a heel and headed back to the Higher Ups table. You were currently savouring a piece of crispy bacon, enjoying the taste and crunch. "Hey (First)! Do you have any plans for the day?" Hanji questioned.
You shook your head. "Would you like to play capture the flag with the trainees?" You shrugged your shoulders. "I think I wouldn't mind. Who would we be playing with?"
"The 104th squad. Is that okay?"
"Yeah! I'm down with that!" You turned to Levi, who was sipping his tea from next to you. "Hey there grumpy~ wanna have some fun with us?" You asked. Levi rolled his eyes. "Why would I want to do that? I have better things to do."
"Don't be like that Levi," Erwin said from across the table. "It would be a great opportunity to bond with the trainees."
"Plus you don't even have to do anything with them! Just take a nap under a tree or something." you added.
"Or you can look for tea leaves~" Hanji suggested, not missing the little spark that ignited in his eyes. Levi sighed, putting down his teacup. "Fine." You and Hanji grinned at each other in excitement while Levi groaned in annoyance.
You and the 104th trainees gathered outside, underneath a large lush tree. You relished in the breeze the surfed through the air, the leaves on the tree dancing in the wind. You were glad that this was the resting spot. The sun bore down on you mercilessly on your way there, and the cool shade and breeze was so refreshing, it could put you to sleep.
Levi must have thought this as well, for his back was resting against the brown trunk, hands behind his head, legs crossed, eyes closed, brows furrowed in...concentration was it? You couldn't tell. His jet black silky tresses ruffled in the breeze, pale pink lips parted ever so slightly, patches of sunlight beaming through the green canopy, illuminating his pale, soft face--
