When you show them the mv make sure the captions are on.
So you'd watch the video once without subtitles and then another time with the captions.

To take it up a notch show them a song (lyric video) or mv, one that made you definitely part of the fandom or one that has a deep meaning to you or in general.

And sit down with them and decipher the meaning behind the song or tell them the story/meaning behind the song.

A/N:even though I don't listen to The Rose, I know who they are and I know they make amazing music but because of this song I might just get into the fandom.

before I read the lyrics to this song, for some reason it just gave me a sad feeling especially the part where they say "you wanna hurt yourself I'll stay with you" that part hurt so much it definitely made me cry and still does.

I literally love this song so much.
