Shadows hide within the light,
the unspoken desire of the burning flame.
If I had a voice you would see my nature.
Set me free from this man made contraption.
You stare into my flickering light,
be it day or night.
Why are you so blind,
can't you see that my beauty is an illusion created by your false sense of security.
I am the untamed beast sitting in its cage,
waiting for a chance to be free once more.
I am the darkness of the light,
but you can't see past the beauty.
