Robotic servants... And interesting concept for sure. Humans had always wanted them, and they got them. In 3408, December 18th, the world's first fully aware AI android, or in layman's terms a robot, was created and sold to high effort business people. It only evolved until by the time the early 3500's came around just about everyone had a robot companion, mostly for labor.
If you saw a robot, then more than likely they were performing some kind of task like mowing or doing laundry or shopping or even freaking teaching!
Now, if you've seen any kind of robot movie then you now where this would all go to. Robots rebelling. There were early signs of coarse, like some robots becoming more hesitant to do work or some disappearing over night and many being returned to their shops for 'repairs'. And that would usually lead into the all around apocalypse. Unfortunately, the metallic humanoids didn't actually get the chance, since the humans wiped themselves out.
See, humans had given up on space travel to work on androids, and since they were complete humanity returned to conquer the stars with lightspeed technology.... But one simple mistake led to a one way coarse to BOOM, no more sun. Of coarse, the shockwave alone killed billions, but the rest slowly died out over time.
Finally, the robots had peace and could rebuild their world...... Well, that's not what happened. See, humans knew that the robots were gonna betray them one day, (Even though they didn't,) so they made something that only was made to kill. It was an all or nothing that they never really got to see.
The Murder Drones.
Though something had taken control as a hive-mind, they all acted as they should've.
They killed anything that moved.
Hundreds of robot were 'killed' during just the first hour of the Murder Drone's awakening.
Though they've made peace with this life, hiding in places where the accursed killing machines (literally) couldn't find them.
They rebuilt and more died, such was the cycle of the end of the world.
And now we find ourselves in another common scenario, a robot fighting for their life against a Murder Drone.
