chapter 2: Entrance exam
Amelia pov:
Waking up to the sun in my face was not how i wanted to begin the day...at all.
I kanda got ready after waking up by putting on a light yellow hoodie with some white sweats and vans. I put my hair in a ponytail and went downstairs, getting my coffee and backpack which was filled with things to train with. I walked out of the house without talling my parents where I'm going.
"Ok, where to train?",I thought to myself,"Oh! Yeah that could work."
Walking a few blocks down the road, and turning left, I stopped at a big field with a gate in front of it. The gate had a sign on it that said 'Do not enter', I did anyway.
"Right, let's start hell.", I got out my leather gloves and decided on physical fitness first. I took martial art classes a few years ago, my fighting has gotten worse but the more I practiced the more muscle memory took over. With fighting come, like I said, physical fitness. After getting used to a few techniques I focused on that. 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 10 lunges etc. etc. then a half a mile run. I repeated that until I felt like throwing up and as if my whole body was about to shut down.
At 12:00 I took an hour break, eating, resting and getting used to the feeling of dying again. After that I continued with quirk training, hoping better my control ove the 4 parts of my quirk.
Fire 🔥, Air 💨, Water 💧and Earth 🌾 (a/n: best emoji i could find for earth)
By the time i was done with training for today, I was sweating more that I ever had in my entire life. I had worked out an eating 'schedule', so i can get enough nutrients for the amount of training i want to get done. Even with me pushing myself like this, I wasn't gonna be ready for the entrance exam.
The next 10 months went on exactly like that. Breakfast, training, lunch, training, done for the day. Quirk and physical fitness sessions switched out between after breakfast and lunch. My overall fitness was immensely improved. My quirk...it's better but not at the level it should be. I haven't used my quirk ever, suddenly starting to use it had taken a toll on my physical and mental heath for the first few weeks. By the 2nd month, though, I had twice the amount of control i had...which is a lot.
Before I knew it, the Entrance exam was staring me in the face and I wasn't all that prepared even with the training.
"Lia, where are you going?", Mom asked while doing the dishes
"UA and before you ask, don't worry about it."
"Be carefull!", Dad screamed from his office.
I stepped out into the cold morning air and shivered. It's too cold for this shit. Why did I decide on wearing a tank top? Whatever, too late to change it. Those past few months had been exhausting but worth the pain. I haven't looked in a mirror but that morning when I did. Damn! I was toned like wtf? Abs, toned arms, everything. I looked...honestly that look fit me just as much as the eye bags.
I got there and looked around at the talented, weird and fucking stupid people around me...if I get in this is going to be a very strange few years. I looked in front of me and saw a guy who looked worse for wear than I did this entire year of hell.
He had purple hair and purple eyes to match mine.
"Hi.", I said walking next to him. "Hi?", he said back, looking very confused at my sudden appearance.
"So...why are you here?", I asked him, already knowing the answer.
"I-I want to be a hero..."
"No Way! Me too...that's crazy.", I said making it very obvious that it was falsely enthusiastic.
