( PLEASE READ TILL END!!! )
To all the good souls who have added this book to your reading list, Thank you very much! It really means a lot to me.
Now back to the reason I'm shutting down this shop is because I have been diagnosed with Keratoconus. I have to undergo an operation at the soonest in both my eye.
Keratoconus (ker-uh-toe-KOH-nus) occurs when your cornea — the clear, dome-shaped front surface of your eye — thins and gradually bulges outward into a cone shape. A cone-shaped cornea causes blurred vision and may cause sensitivity to light and glare.
Due to this I need to reduce my screen time & I cannot even read normal books for long period of time. Hence I may have to end this.
Sorry to all who had been waiting to order in my shop.
But I want to raise awareness of my condition and various other eye problems.
Here are few ways to avoid Keratoconus :
1. Do not rub your eyes. Do not splash water inside your eyes. Don't look at the sun directly.
Many of us think rubbing your eyes makes you look cute like those girls in the movies, but your damaging your eyes more than you can imagine.
I didn't belive it when people tried to tell him and here I am waiting for my operation to be done.
So learn from my experience and avoid rubbing your eyes.
Here is the proof:
You can see how the Keratoconus has increased over the years.
( These are my medical reports. )
2. Relax your eyes for 5mins after every hour of computer usage.
Your phone/laptop not only kills time but also your eyes.
You can also try blinking your eyes 15 times a minute.
3. Don't neglect redness, watering, discharge, pain, photophobia, itching, blurring, flashes, eye strain, squint, double vision, headache etc.
My entire family has dust allergy except me. Or so I thought.
I have dust allergy in my eyes, yes you heard it right, in my eyes.
The nasal spray they use for the nose is used by me as eye drops.
( But different bottles and it's slightly modified to adjust to eyes. )
This is the drops I use now for my allergy.
4. Apply cold packs if you have itching.
This was recommended to me by my doctor. If you have you have itchiness, redness or pain in your eyes, please try this instead of rubbing your eyes.
This has greatly worked for me during the peak of my allergy.
When I say allergy it's not normal one, the excruciating pain of something poking your eyes from inside and outside will make you go insane. You can't close nor open your eyes.
If you can relate to my experience or have your own drop them in the comments, for others to benifit.
Tag your near and dear ones, who you care for, who's eye you want to protect.
