"Kakashi! Your late. AGAIN!" Sakura loudly screamed it into Sasukes ear, making him shove her off him and walk away from her. She sadly pouted at him, but he didn't care and walked up to Naruto.
"Dobe, kakashi is here. Time to wake up." He slowly woke up, rubbing his eyes as he stood up. He pulled his hands away from his face, which almost made Sasuke blush. Almost.
"Finally." He yawned and walked over toward the late sensei, giving him a look of annoyance. "Your late again Kakashi-Sensei."
Kakashi had a new (yet obvious) excuse as he lead the Genin towards there mission site.
When they all arrived, Kakashi split them up into groups of two, Him and Sakura and then Sasuke and Naruto. Naruto groaned at the thought of being teamed up with Sasuke- "Of all people!", as to where Sasuke hummed while silently celebrating.
The mission was easy, it just contained finding this woman's lost cat. Sasuke was familiar with cats, due to being an Uchiha so he kind of new what areas cats would like to hang out. Sasuke wanted to somehow bring up a topic, but didn't know what to do. But, thankfully for the chatty blonde, he didn't have to think long.
"Sasuke, why are we looking for this cat anyways? Why doesn't the woman get a new one?" Sasuke was slightly caught of guard by the strange question, but happy to speak to him regardless.
"What kind of question is that? She obviously loves the cat. Why wouldn't she look for it is the real question."
"But- but like- she can't be attached to a CAT. L-Like it's just a cat. I cant see how someone would like a cat so much to have to pay to look for it. Not like it's a ninja Cat. Like Akamaru is a ninja dog- so I see Kiba looking for him- but this is just a plain house cat we're talking about. So it can't be that important."
"Dobe, it think even if Akamaru wasn't a ninja dog, Kiba would look for him anyways." Sasuke was now looking inside a little hole in a tree, but moved on when he figured the cat wasn't in there.
"That doesn't make sense. What's the point of having something when it's not any use to you?" Naruto was a bit shocked himself he even felt that way, just let whatever came into his mind out.
Sasuke couldn't even believe what was coming out of Naruto's mouth. 'How could he believe such a thing? Why would he? Has he never cared for anything?'  But that's when Sasuke realized- Naruto has never had something to love- nothing to get attached to. Nobody to get attached to. He doesn't know what it feels like.
"Dobe." Is all the boy says. He doesn't plan on saying anything else, but thinks about how to help Naruto find out what that feeling feels like.

—after the mission, 7pm

"Sakkuurrra-Chan!!! Come have ramen with meee!!" Sakura rejected him, as always, then asked Sasuke if he wanted her to walk him home. He rejected, obviously, and she walked away. Kakashi poofed away, as he does, and now it was just Naruto and Sasuke.
Sasuke looked over to Naruto, who was walking towards Ichiraku, and decided- 'fuck it' and tagged along with him.
"What are you doing? Your house is that way." Naruto turned over to Sasuke, and pointed in the opposite direction.
"I'm hungry, kinda feel like some ramen." Was  said casually by Sasuke, but Naruto didn't feel it as casual.
"Are you possessed? You don't like Ramen." Sasuke, surprised Naruto new that, just turned his head to the side, and didn't say anything other then "hn".
"If you wanted to hang out with me, Sasuke, you could have just said so." Naruto teased, and it caught Sasuke off guard.
"Like I would want to, just wanted to try something new. And-" Sasuke was caught off guard again at a laughing Naruto, yet again almost letting himself blush.
"We can go to the barbecue place, not as good as ichiraku but it's okay." Naruto switched directions making way for the restaurant, Sasuke following behind.
