Chapter 1

Hi my name is Dawson, and my whole existence is messed up. My "parents" are bioengineers at Genetec, a massive genetic science company. I'm not really sure how long I spent in my mothers' womb, but I'm certain it wasn't near nine months. Instead of a womb, I was conceived in a test tube. Genetec is funded by the government so I'm pretty sure they know how wrong the things that happen here are. My life is nothing but test, experiments, analysis, and documentation. Sleep, wake up, shower, eat, read, cry, all documented for the scientist.if Genetec hadn't allowed my parents to rejoin the company, they would be on the run and I wouldn't exist. So many crimes were committed to make me and my brother Alex. They robbed, killed, bribed, and extorted, but worst of all, they crossed Genetec. When we were just embryos developing, Ashley Fox and Rin Ortega a.k.a my parents were doing all kinds of things to mess with our genes. The Genetec CEO, Chris Davidson, didn't approve of Ashley and Rin's project. That was until me and Alex were successes and Davidson became corrupt by the idea of having more beings like us. What exactly are we you may ask? Besides walking, talking, experiments, we're enhanced humans. I look like a normal teen, but I'm everything but normal. Im literally built different. The whole point of the project was to make super-humans or something close to it. I would say that it worked. Alex and I have enhanced speed, strength, senses, pain tolerance, and regeneration. Thanks to constant forced changes of our DNA, our genes are an unstable mess. Sometimes our physical appearance changes. Skin color can change, size can change, hair can change, eyes can change, it's so crazy not knowing if you're going to wake up and look different that you did last night. My DNA has actually been stable for the last 3 years out of my 14 total so yea, I'm pretty grateful for that. I'm currently 5'7 with hazel eyes and straight black hair. I look pretty normal. Alex on the other hand, I can't say the same
