Perhaps I'll take a nap here and hopefully forget this burning hunger, yes the grass is green and soft hehe. Such a beautiful area with a serene aura, I doubt I will be bothered by any creatures here either.

Tired from his hours of travel and discomfort of starvation the man basked in the warm sun as he rested under a rain tree which was especially vibrant from the fall season. As the sunlight passed and gave way to the cooling moon another wanderer entered the forest managing to encounter the sleeping man.

The wanderer observed the sleeping man from afar; the man was dressed in rather drab clothing, his mouth hung open, and his limbs were spread across the ground unusually.

The wanderer was stuck with the fear that the man had been dead and approached him with a small branch he picked up. With a gentle jab to the stomach, the wanderer tested the man's reaction.

He jolted awake and quickly scrawled backward till his back hit the tree. "W-who are you?!" The man quickly spat out to the short figure that loomed above him. The wander was intrigued that the man wasn't a corpse but merely an awkward sleeper, he tossed the branch aside and stared at the man curiously.

The man composed his breathing and subtly scolded himself for getting so frightened by this small wanderer, they seemed to be just a child after all."You didn't answer me, child." He stated while shaking his head, "Wandering into these dense woods at such an hour your family must be worried sick!"

"I am no child nor do I belong to a family."

The man furrowed his eyebrows at the response and stood up to loom over this child himself. "Nonsense! It's dangerous to be out playing with strangers at night, now tell me child where is your home?" He asked with a more serious tone this time.

"I've told you already, I am no child, I have no family, and I did not come here to play. The only reason why I awoke you was to check if you were deceased." The wanderer replied in a strangely calm voice that shook the man slightly.

There was a silence only to be interrupted by the slight rustling of leaves in the wind as the two studied on one another.

The man resumed his seat with a lengthy sigh and a chuckle. He turned up to the wanderer, he too didn't seem to be in the best shape. "So you're like me then huh?" There was a sad tinge to the man's voice that struck the wanderer. He had a feeling he should stay with him a little longer, he sat in front of the man and nodded to his words. He could sense this man was pained, he wanted to help. However, the man felt the same for the child.

This poor child, he's so young and he speaks with a soulless tone. He also says he is not a child, does he wish to think he's an adult due to the maturity forced upon him? I wonder if he even had a childhood. The man smiled, "So tell me, sir, what's your name?"

The wanderer met eyes with the man before looking away in thought. "I do not remember."

He held his smile despite the ache he felt for the child. "No name and without family. So young and alr-"

"I'm not young." The wanderer brashly interrupted.

The man laughed at his words as the unamused wanderer continued his glare. "Sir, I am much older than you." The man only continued laughing and reached over to pat the wanderer's head.
