Starscream

Chapter 6

The next day Starscream, Knock Out and Shayna started there journey to look for the scrapyard, Shayna was riding in Knock Out's alt mode because Starscream decided she would be safer their while he flew above them in his jet mode to see if any danger was ahead so they could avoid it and she wouldn't be hurt should he be shot down or something.

Starscream was glad to be able to fly again since Knock Out had fixed his wing and he was glad that the red medic was making a rapid and full recovery after his near death experience at the hands of Barricade, and the seeker had given the drive back to him after they stopped so Shayna could set up camp for the night, saying that Ratchet had entrusted it to him and getting it to Bumblebee's team was really his mission and that he was just helping him with it.

"No Screamer this is our mission." Knock Out corrected his friend. "This is a team effort."

"But you know I have a track record for messing things up." Starscream said letting his wings drop.

"Your too hard on yourself Starscream, you've more then made up for your past you saved Shayna from that vehicon and not only found and fixed me but protected me from Pharma you've changed for the better and I think any of the Autobots would agree." Knock Out told him.

"He's right Star your a great bot and your proving that." Shayna chimed in.

"Thanks guys." Starscream smiled.

Then they all realized it was late after having traveled the whole day and decided to get some recharge or sleep in Shayna's case.

Later while he was recharging Starscream had a nightmare about when Megatron had used the patch on him only this time it had been worse because he had beaten him afterwards and unlike what had really gone down in his dream Shockwave was there.

"Since I have my lead scientist back and he know how to fix bots I don't think I'll be needing this treacherous medic anymore." Megatron said darkly as he grabbed Knock Out while Starscream was still laying on the floor beaten.

"What do you mean?!" Starscream whimpered.

"I'll give you a hint!" Megatron hissed.

Then before Starscream could finish processing what the warlord ment he fired his fusion cannot at Knock Out who was standing across the room and before Starscream's optics his best friend turned gun metal gray then crumbled to ashes all but his peds having been killed instantly.

"NOOO!!!" Starscream cried from his place on the floor.

"Oh and did you really think it would escape my attention that you befriended a human?!" Megatron belowed.

Then to his horror Starscream saw Shayna in one of Megatron's servos, and the seeker's optics widened in panic.

"NO PLEASE DON'T!!!" Starscream pleaded trying his best to get up to stop his master.

"You did this to both of them Starscream all you do is hurt others and cause them pain or let them down you'll always fail and bring everything and everyone you touch down with you." Megatron told the seeker cruely then the next sound that followed was Shayna's screams as Megatron crush her in his fist.

"NOOO!!!" Starscream yelled as his optics flash open, Both Shayna and Knock Out were now by his side having heard his screams.

Starscream saw them both and relaxed upon realizing it had all been a nightmare and both his friends were safe.

Then he told them both about his bad dream, and they both felt bad for him knowing Starscream had PTSD from the abuse he had suffered at the hands of Megatron.

Then they both explained to Shayna what the patch was and how Megatron had used it to break Starscream during the war, and how a chronicle psychic patch could still be a threat if they were captured and had one used on them and how easy it was to get information that way.

"Well what if you think of something else like getting a song stuck in your head that what I do when I don't want to think about something." Shayna suggested.

"I suppose that could work." Knock Out said rubbing his chin in amusement.

"I just hope I don't put you both in danger I'm so weak and stupid and a cowered." Starscream told them sadly letting his wings drop still thinking of his nightmare and how he was worried about his friends being hurt or worse because of him.

"That's not true I mean you survived all of that right if you were a weakling you wouldn't be standing here now right." Shayna told the seeker trying to help him feel better.

"She right and your not stupid either Starscream I mean you have done a few dumb things but who hasn't?" Knock Out added, "And remember how you got all the omega keys during the war or when you came up with the plan to take out the Predacons and make it look like the Autobots we're responsible I mean sure you did both of those things when you were still a bad guy but those plans were genius."

"Yeah your better then you think you are Starscream." Shayna said to him. "Don't listen to anything Megatron told you he sounds like a jerk anyway, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

"Thanks guys." Starscream told them glad to have friends who were trying to cheer him up.

Then they saw it was morning so decided to continue on their way to look for the scrapyard.
