"Wake up, my chicken noodle muffin cake."
"Eomma, don't call me that." The moppet sat up groaning and complaining about the nicknames given to him by his mother.
"Why can't I? You're my son. I will call you whatever I like. Now get ready or you'll be late for school." The woman in pajamas commanded while placing a kiss on the moppet's forehead before leaving the room for getting ready herself.
Upon getting inside her room she directly went to her walk in closet which is filled with expensive clothes from her favourite brands, browsing clothes for another tiring day. The brunette picked out an outfit that's professional yet elegant at the same time.
"Perfect." She chimed. On getting down stairs and walking towards the dining table to have breakfast she spotted the two loves of her life sitting and having breakfast in peace.
"Good Morning." She greeted. The man in front just nodded in response.
"Eomma, will you and Appa pick me up from school today?" The child asked innocently.
"No Yong-Sun honey Appa will be busy. Mr. Han will pick you up." The young woman replied.
"Is it true Appa? Will you be busy?" The boy asked.
"Yes Yongsun-ie. But don't be sad Appa will come home early and we can play." The man suggested and beamed completely discarding the cold attitude he gives his wife.
"Okay." the boy said in low tone not-so satisfied with the suggestion.
Yong-Sun POV
Why are they always like this? I also wish to have my parents come pick me from school like all the other children.
I ran to my room immediately after finishing breakfast. And stood in front of the mirror combing my hair and started talking.
"Let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm Min Yong-Sun. I am a smart boy I love my parents so much. They are always busy because they business people; (busy)ness. Do you get it? My father Min Yoongi is a CEO in a company and mother Min Mi-Young is Chief Operating Officer aka President in another company. Am I not smart? I learned all these complicated terms at such a young age. Did you know what a COO meant when you were five? I know I'm intelligent. I am the best." I said into my mic which is my comb.
"Even though my parents are busy people they love me. I have the best family in the world. My parents spend time with me whenever they can even though I've never seen them spend time together. Now you're probably wondering; why I am saying all this? It's because this is my story-"
"Yongsun-ie, are you talking to yourself again?" Eomma asked from downstairs.
"Or is it?" I questioned.
"Yongsun-ie, did you get ready? Come down fast." Eomma called again. I ran down the stairs to mom and noticed that she hasn't put on makeup yet. I shifted my gaze to our dining room clock to check time. It was 8:30.
"Eomma, why are you not ready yet? It's already 8:30." I asked her.
"It's too early and also our clock is 30 minutes fast and it's still 8 o'clock." she said in a duh tone.
"Actually the clock is 30 minute slow and it's 9 am now." Appa said in a bored tone.
"WHAT!" Eomma exclaimed.
"Why didn't you say this earlier?" she asked.
"Well, you didn't ask." now Appa said in a duh tone.
"Yongsun-ie, go to school with Mr. Han." saying that she went flying up the stairs.
Author POV
Mi-Young rushed down the stairs and ran across the living room and out of the front door to her car carrying her makeup supplies. She tried starting the engine but it won't start. It turns out that the car's fuel was empty. She cursed under her breath. And saw her husband getting into his car like god sent him directly from heaven to help her.
"Yoongi!" she exclaimed. Yoongi turned his head to see who called and saw you. You ran to him, opened his passenger seat door ready to get in.
"What are you doing?" he asked with a confused face.
"Getting in your car, duh." she replied.
"Well, then take a bus, duh." he said.
"Please, I have an important meeting at my company and our CEO is on a leave today." she requested in a desperate tone.
"Okay." he agreed. He would've agreed anyways as these are one of the rarest times he could spent time with his wife. And he loves it. Even if he doesn't show it.
"Thank you so much." she said and started putting on her make u right after fastening the seat-belt.
"Can't you live a day without make up?" he said in an irritated tone. Min Yoongi is a man who prefers natural beauty over anything artificial but his wife loves make up.
"Well my husband doesn't look at me doesn't mean there are no people who are going to look at me. And also, what if the directors from the other company fall in love with me after seeing my flaunting visuals and want to collaborate with us?" She said with confidence hiding the fact that she was offended by his question.
He frowned upon hearing the last sentence but chose to keep quiet. The whole ride went by silently but nonetheless found the ride comfortable. Spending time with his wife was something Yoongi loved but never dared to ask.
Like that they reached Mi-Young's company. She got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance but turned around and came near Yoongi's window and knocked on it. He rolled the window down and stared at her confused.
"I forgot to say bye." she said panting.
"Okay bye?" he said confused you came for such a small thing.
"Yeah bye, take care and love you." she said with a smile making him blush slightly.
"Okay bye." he said still flustered and went from there. Mi-Young was not fully satisfied with his reply but was still smiling nonetheless.
"Oh I am late!" she exclaimed after checking her phone and realising the time and ran to catch a lift.
Monday mornings have always been like this to the Mins. New surprising tasks waiting for them to solve.
