Joseph's snoring echoed in the entire room.
Jōtarō leaned above the old man to make sure he was sound asleep. Then he picked up his shoes, silently opened the window and got out under Iggy's sleepy eye.

- Star Platinum.

With the strength of his stand Jōtarō climbed to the hotel roof in mere seconds. He spun around to take a look at the buildings surrounding him.
It was almost one in the morning. Cairo was asleep, except for a few lights downtown.
The young man glanced at his watch.
Better go now.

- Doubleback.

Using his hand as a visor Star Platinum narrowed his eyes and looked to the horizon.
He pointed to the West.
- Ora.

- Two hours away?! You sure? We're hundreds of miles from Cairo!! Jōtarō asked. You can really see that far? And actually go that fast?!
- Ora!

The Japanese teen slowly nodded.
- Mmh. Okay, whatever. What more can you do that's useful?

Star floated away from him.
Two meters.
Three meters.
Ten meters.

Twenty meters.

Jōtarō blinked in amazement.
Holy shit, his range of action had literally increased tenfold.
- ... Yare yare daze.

He narrowed his eyes, lips twisted in a satisfied smirk.
Dio would never stand a chance against such abilities. The brunette would bust him before he could even gasp.
Right now he was glad he had pierced himself with that arrow earlier.

Feeling the blood boiling in his veins, he cracked his knuckles and headed for what he hoped would be the end of the Crusaders' torment.

Two hours later, just like Star had claimed, they got to Dio's mansion. (Holy shit, it was as if the purple giant had gained the literal ability to fly at that point).

Jōtarō lay down against the roof and sent his stand in reconnaissance. Iggy had not yet fought Pet Shop so it was much probable that the hawk still be guarding the building, creeping somewhere in the shadow.
(The young man had absolutely no intention of fighting the raptor as he recalled Iggy's serious wounds despite The Fool's strength).

Star floated all around the building, taking a quick look through the windows. All the lights were off.
No sight of any hawk nor its master.
- Ora.

Jōtarō stood back up.
- Okay. You stay here watching, and you get in the second I call you.
- Ora!

The Japanese teen swallowed his cigarette to avoid getting caught because of the smoke or smell. Still he made sure his lighter was not empty, and he dug his fists into his pockets to keep them from shaking in anticipation.

He had not decided whether he would roast the vampire before or after he would have busted him. Maybe he could start by setting fire to his feet to make sure he couldn't escape? And when Jōtarō would be done, and even the poor unfortunate woman who had carried such an abomination would be unable to tell his face from his ass, he'd burn down the whole building with the corpse in it.
Slowly.

Just as slowly as Kakyoin had agonized, bleeding out against that water tank after the power of his stand had been mocked.

Jōtarō wondered if the shining in Star Platinum's eyes (and his own) was due to the lighter's flame, or his rage (or both).
He opened the door to the staircase, clenching the handle so tight it broke when he let go. Shit.
His stand gave him a thumbs up, his usually jovial face now serious and shady, his aura growing more and more menacing.
