"Claire!" She was gone I couldn't have made a bigger mistake. I pounded on her door hoping so badly she would come out but nothing. I went back to Josh's room to say goodbye. My body felt something else though it wanted to go on top of Josh again and explore more of where I left off. So that's what it did but Josh pushed me away angrily. He wasn't gentle like before he was rough now. "What's your fucking problem Josh?" "I mean you say you want me but now you push me to the side. You threw me away, I'm like a toy you played with for a little while and got bored of. Is this all I mean to you?!" "Samantha.." Josh has never used my full name before and when he did he sounded tired and beaten down. He sounded defeated like there was nothing left for him. "Samantha I can't do this anymore I don't want you to be mad at me but it's for the best. It's the best thing for Claire and you're also 16." "I'll be 17 in 5 days though!" "Samantha.. I can't do this any longer!" "Stop calling me Samantha you know damn well I hate when people call me Samantha and how much you still want me right now!" "Samantha I can't do this because of your brother!" Mike? What did Mike have to do with this? The words hung there for a while. "I made your brother a promise to take care of you and be like a brother to you when he wasn't there and now that he's gone..." His voice broke off as the words hung there tears forming in Josh's eyes as a vulnerable side of him came out. "Just go home." "But-." "Good bye Samantha Lynn I will never forget you." He closed the door slowly and I sat down in the hallway for 15 minutes waiting for him to carry me again or say he loves me but I guess that only happens in the movies. It was over and I was a complete idiot for jeopardizing my friendship and having Josh break a promise. I biked home tears running down my face and biking fast just to get home from everything bad that happened. There was no looking back now I was officially done with the Vaneck family and I will never ever again- everything went dark.
